I owned one of these paper trimmers for a couple of years and only used it on the very rare occasion after which it was always stored in its original box in my home office.From the outset this device trimmed paper very poorly leaving the edges rough. Recently the blade started making an ear piercing screech when in use that it was almost unbearable. Like all previously purchased J.BURROWS products from Officeworks, the trimmer ended up in the trash. I have emailed Officeworks in the past advising them of the many issues with J.BURROWS products but they still continue stocking their line of trash.

I have purchased this recently to cut 100+ CD covers for an upcoming music band and i am impressed by the amazing cutting results and how much time is saved using this device.What's even better is how easy it is to replace the blade when the blade becomes dull. Litterly takes 30 secs to swap over the replacement blade.

Purchased as I needed a trimmer and I'm a fan of J.Burrows products. This was a disappointment. Blade got dull very quickly. It's now just sitting in it's box in a corner gathering dust.
This A3 trimmer is sturdy and has good alignment markings, however the blade isn't that sharp and leaves the cut paper or card with a slightly rough/torn edge. It doesn't leave nicks or tear the paper, it's just not a very clean cut.I tried it on regular 80gsm paper and 250gsm card - both have the same result.If you just need stuff cut, then this would be fine - if you're looking for a clean and professional cut, it's not that great.It's not expensive, but there doesn't seem to be a more expensive/better quality option. I had hoped that even if it wasn't a long lasting product, it would work well straight out of the box.
Struggles to cut one sheet of paper at a time, and that is not a clean cut. Threw it in the garbage, surprised office works would sell such a poor standard of porduct.
I purchased the J.Burrows A3 Paper Trimmer to replace an A4 paper cutter and have reverted to the old cutter.Though I've tried 'giving it another go' a couple of times I'm frustrated by its poor functionality. Paper catches on the metal strip when sliding it under the plastic guide; the plastic guide moves and cutting guides are not great.Although it was not an expensive purchase, I did expect it would be fit for purpose.
I bought this a few months ago and the paper would always get stuck under the metal part which I wasn't overly happy about but could work around. But then the plastic part (that is essential to its use) snapped off during regular use.
Unit seems sturdy and well made however the blade doesn't leave clean trim lines.Edges are left looking slightly torn. Definitely avoid this product.I'm hoping to return mine for a refund/exchange
Used twice, on the next use the photo I was trimming slipped under metal strip which is supposed to be glued down. The photo was glued under the metal strip, ruined the photo and the had to take the trimmer apart to get it out. The plastic guide broke in the process. All in all and inferior product.
