Icebreaker 200 Oasis Womens Leggings - Black

I love these tights, they are super comfortable, warm but still very breathable. I wear them hiking but also under my regular clothes at work where the temperature ranges from Arctic to Saharan between rooms and they cope incredibly well. My only gripe is that they seem to be the right fit around my bum and waist (a challenge as my waist is two sizes smaller than my hips) but slip down over time. That's absolutely fine for every day wear but resulted in bunching around my ankles inside my hiking boots. I could not find a way to stop this from happening and it was so uncomfortable I ended up stripping off in the woods and taking them off. I'm not really sure what to do to remedy this but may try shortening the tights.

These leggings are my new favorite. Light merino base layers are my favorite go-to for skiing, kayaking, hiking, or just under jeans for cold winter days and these are the best I've found. It's nice and lightweight so they fit well under mid layers easily but still add a lot of warmth and breathe well too. I normally wear size 36-38 pants and according to the size charts that put me between XL and XXL so I ordered both and they both fit very well. The XL are just more form fitting where the XXL are fitted but not snug and both work well so keeping both sizes. Also the cut lands perfectly on the waist without sagging in the crotch. I don't know what posessed me to spend this much on long underwear, but astonishingly I feel like they are actually worth the price. They keep my legs nice and warm and they are so soft and cozy that when I wear them under my clothes my jeans feel a little more like pajama bottoms. I actually get sad when it's too warm outside to wear them. They seem durable - I've only had them for a month, but I've worn them amost nonstop (hand washing and air drying) and they've held up very well with no pilling, which is surprising for wool. I got a small and they fit perfectly - form-fitting for wearing under clothes while not being too tight. I would say if you are in between sizes like I am go with the smaller one.
