So, first and foremost if you do not use a Hauwei phone you have a host of issues. You need to download the health app via an apk and provide lots of permissions. I couldn't get this to work correctly. The watch is really a fitness tracker that accompanies your phone. You can't really reply to messages apart from quick replies Celia doesn't work unless you've a Hauwei phone there is no NFC so no payments and no WiFi on this model. So that's the negatives. I should also point out that there limited third party apps you can download, so no Google, Spotify or Strava and therfore syncing data is limited. I returned the watch as it just didn't do all that I hoped. The watch runs Harmony 0S due to Huawei no longer having access to Google and whilst Harmony OS works it lags behind Wear OS or Tizen. In my opinion Hauwei will get to where it needs in time but if you are looking for a more integrated smart watch and using Android I would suggest looking at the Ticwatch Pro 3 or Ultra or the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. Both watches will provide all that the tracking you require (with their own quirks) but will be easier to use as running Wear OS and therefore being not just a fitness tracker but a proper smart watch. However, if you do not care for the smart functionality and just want a watch where it sits along side your phone with incredible battery life and a fantastic screen then the GT3 could be for you. If you definitely wish to sit in the world of Hauwei and want to perhaps future proof for updates I think the GT3 pro is being released which will have NFC and WiFi- but whether you can make payments from your wrist is yet to be determined. That's about it but hey, it's your hard earned cash so you do you and enjoy which ever device your purchase.

I bought this watch a few months ago after getting fed up with my Samsung, and I think it is brilliant! The battery lasts around a week or so depending on exercise/GPS tracking. It tracks my steps pretty accurately. There's lots of things on it that I've not even used yet. You can download apps and choose from loads of watch faces. The app is easy to use. It's brilliant for taking calls, it's really clear. It looks smart too. Definitely worth the money!

If you want a all singing/dancing wear os watch then this is not for you. One has to understand Huawei has a different operating system now due to being banished from the google/android os so setting up takes a little longer on a android phone. Must say I have installed the Huawei health app on my Oneplus phone & works perfectly.I love the watch, you can't reply to notifications but that does not bother me, you can reply to call via bluetooth but again not something I'm fussed with. All notifications such as whats app, sms, email & twitter still come through.The fitness modes on the watch are excellent with a fitness mode for just about everything. ( so obviously will be the same for runners etc). You even have voice alerts every KM with pace, heart rate details which is excellent. ( I loved that touch) The watch face choice is stunning with tons of free ones as well has paid. The sleep app works great & the screen is stunning. Also apps on the watch such as compass, barometer, altimeter, weather, moon settings & many more.It has an app store but this is mainly aimed at Huawei phone owners running the Harmony operating system. But if you own a android phone please don't let this put you off.Oh & battery life is excellent, It arrived on Friday, now Monday & the charge is at 77% I'm expecting at least seven dadys between charges. I am not a fan of charging a smartwatch once a day.To sum up the GT 3 is one simply stunning smartwatch/fitness tracker.
