HP Sprocket 200 Photo Printer - Luna Pearl

I ❤️this photo printer, I got it for Christmas and it is AMAZINGGGGG!!!! The color I got it in is pink, but there are many other colors as well. I am so, so impressed with this photo printer especially because it has no ink, (which I love because it saves so much money and makes it easier to travel!) The quality of the images is spectacular, they come out clear every time, especially when you print a more "natural" picture, eg., (no filters, backgrounds, etc.) I also love the size of the paper and the fact that it has a sticker back, I use the photos mostly to stick in my journal, but I am planning to make a photo wall soon! Fun and easy photos, not best quality

This little printer is great in many ways. It feels like more of a novelty, but I am pretty sure most people can find a use for it in their work and or personal lives. Its definitely worth a try.I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical of these tiny photo printers in the past. I have always view them as more a toy than anything. After the initial setup I recommend you tie it to Instagram, Facebook and google so you can have a pool of pictures in addition to your on device photos.Printing is a breeze, select all the pictures you want to print, edit if needed (there are cool filters, borders and layers you can put on top of the photos), press print and they will come out one by one. It is not the fastest printer and I found the photos to be a little muted for my tastes, so I wouldn’t depend on this for high quality prints, but it is fun as the paper is also a sticker you can put anywhere. I used the prints to decorate an room in my office to show the some of the stories adventures we have had in the past to applicants.Paper is relatively cheap and never needs any kind of ink. The “ink” is built into the paper and essentially changes color when heat is applied. Most of the colors look pretty good but the reds seem very absent on a lot of photos. This is not a deal breaker if you know what to expect but it is not the most vibrant producer of photos out there. Photos are small at 2” x 3” but the point is to print a quick photo you can give out, or stick it on a wall somewhere so it works. It provides endless entertainment for my kid as well, he loves this thing!I do not feel most people need this printer, but if you buy one you will likely enjoy it and find a way to fit it into your life.

Great Little Pocket Printer

I've been playing with this little printer for a few days, and am pretty impressed with it. It uses no ink, but instead uses thermal paper, which allows for it's super small size. The battery powered and Bluetooth capabilities make it a breeze to take with you! The battery lasts for a reasonable amount of time, but could be better. Just printing about 8 pictures over the course of a few days, it went from fully charged to around 20%. Some of that is most likely idle time, as I did not manually shut it off in-between uses. I have it set to turn itself off after an hour and sleep after Sleep after 5 minutes. This would make a great gift for a kid or scrapbook keeper.The HP Sprocket app lets you crop, adjust color settings, add borders, text, little fun graphics you can add on top of the photo, and overlays. You can use these features to edit your photos, then print out on a larger printer or share to one of your social media sites.My colleague was able to download the Sprocket software and connect to my printer. It's supposed to support up to 3 additional connections, although I only tried myself and one other.You can change the color of the little LED on the front to whatever color you like, which is a nice little personalization feature.The printer takes about 45 seconds from the time you press print to print an image, so the speed isn't great if you are wanting to print several photos to distribute.The software has a Photo booth mode which takes 4 timed pictures and combines them into one image. This is fun for taking pictures with friends.The printer itself is really light, but feels well made. Changing the paper is easy. Just pop off the top and insert into the tray. It comes with a pack of 10 papers, including a calibration sheet. They recommend not putting any more paper than this to avoid jams.

Great for the price

I bought this item when it was on sale. The original price was 99.00 dollars but I got it for half the price. The quality on the images isn't too stellar but I think for the price its a steal. I would say this printer is perfect for keeping memories of a certain event. I took it with me on my trip to Seattle and it was fun. I also had the chance to print out old photos from my phone which is great in case my photos get deleted, I have a physical copy. The photo film has a sticky adhesive on the back so it gives you the option to put them on a 2*3 frame or if you want to stick it to a binder or scrapbook. I had no issue with connecting my phone to the printer. However, I would recommend printing your photos when the printer is fully charged. Great to share with friends

was lucky enough to try out the first sprocket and upon opening this one I am so happy to see that they have made changes for the better. First of all the shape, it is much thicker and squarer than the original but I prefer it. They have changed the glossy exterier to a matt grey one which again is more practical as I kept feeling I had to wipe the old one. Also my biggest gripe which I am delighted to see is the loading of paper is so much simpler. Photos printed in under a minute and are an ideal size to pop in your wallet of purse. I previously found when i tested it before it was also good for card making as the app allows you to add text and stickers on top of the photo. I really like the sprocket, i still feel it is a wee bit too expensive at the current price but great wee gadget but I wonder if the novety would wear off? Pros- Portable, quick and easy to use, quiet, good quality prints on sticky back paper, mostly it captures good fun cons- cost, some colours not as sharp and looks like a 70s photo effect. overall upgrading from 4 to 5 stars :)

The HP Sprocket is a cool technical portable device that lets you print your pictures from your smart phone and social media outlets. I very easily hooked up my smart phone and the Sprocket via Bluetooth. You have to make sure the battery life on the Sprocket is around 50%. My smart phone recognized the Sprocket from Bluetooth and then paired the smart phone to the Sprocket printer. This took all of 2 mins or less to connect and is a very simple procedure just like the printer itself.Now the pictures are 2in x 3in and are about wallet size when the printing is done. Loading the Sprocket with the film, the blue paper card should face down (barcode side down). The actual zink film should face up. I believe they are they very well priced, and it won’t break the bank. The Sprocket includes 10 zink photo paper and blue card. You can get started right away as soon as you get some battery power.You can print from social media outlets like instagram, google, facebook and of course the pictures you have on your smart phone. So I sent some pictures to the Sprocket and they were queued, then I pushed the button to print. In about 30 secs, my estimated time, the picture moved from the queue to the print mode. The bluecard comes out first and then the color zink film produces your picture. I experienced no problem with printing pictures but it does take a lot of battery power. I had to recharge after 3 pictures. It didn’t take long but 3 pictures using most of the battery power seems a bit excessive.With the photos before print you can hit the edit pencil and do all kinds of things to the pictures. Changing the hue, adding symbols, text, emojis and cropping are just to name a few. This adds more fun than just printing because you can personalize the prints.The quality of the zink photo paper prints, I believe, is very good for such a simple setup and execution of printing with a small portable printer. If you are looking for a professional photo, that is not what the HP Sprocket is for, so don’t expect it. But if you want to have fun with a level of quality that is great to share with friends this would be a winner in my book. I have to mention that these zink paper photos are also sticky. Pull off the back of the picture and stick it anywhere, a very cool feature to have! Making the photos with the ability to stick is another level that excels with the Sprocket.The Sprocket charges with a mini USB to USB chord. So you can charge it anywhere there is a USB port. This is another reason that the Sprocket is so well thought out. There is also a power on/off button. Green light: ready to go, Orange light: low battery charge, and Red light: charge it. There is also a long horizontal light. It indicates that printing is taking place.All in all, I really enjoy printing pictures on the HP Sprocket. It is simple and the zink photo stickable pictures are very cool. I want to also add that there are books and string of lights that you can use creatively to display your photos. The HP Sprocket combines the latest tech with pictures and the fun of events, birthdays or just hanging out.

Quality so bad, I must have gotten a lemon

I picked this up today from BestBuy. I honestly was not expecting a true picture quality resoultion or color; I just want a decent sticker quality for my diary.However I was shocked that the quality was so bad — like the color picture in an old newspaper front page with multiple horizontal and verical streaks. Another huge problem was that the true white and yellow printed extreme PINK. Picture seems all blown up. (i tried printing all kinds of pictures with different colors and resolutions). I tried printing black&white picture, but picture came out with partial red.I looked at different youtube reviews on this device and the pictures that got printed by other owners actually seem pretty good. So maybe, I thought my zinc photo paper was bad, so I opened a brand ... MoreI picked this up today from BestBuy. Everyone seems to say good things on their reviews. HP’s proper quality control could have prevented my inconvenience and unnecessary car gasoline and mileage.

Quick, easy, not high quality

Tiny 2x3 printer. Very easy to use and print from multiple phones. Limited preset collage options for printing multiple images as one. Print quality was extremely low, with images coming out lighter than on my 4x6 Kodak photo printer. Images were also much more grainy than on my Kodak. Think old Polaroid quality.Cost per print runs $0.50 vs the $0.20 for the larger Kodak 4x6. I haven't tested the adhesion of the sticky back.Overall, easy to charge, use, transport, share and print. Questionable print quality. Device seems solid.
