The plastic casing appears to be of the same quality as a Xmas cracker gift.Hopefully the lock itself is up to the job.

Very easy to carry with you at all times, which is a real bonus. I found setting the combination lock a bit fiddly but generally happy with the purchase
Nice small, light lock to carry while riding your bike. Its great when you stop to get a latte and just need to lock your bike for a few minutes. It is stronger than it looks and works well. It is not a lock that allows you to leave your bike for more than a few minutes. Good product, bit pricy, works well if used in the right circumstances.
Just what i was looking for - something light but semi secure for locking my bike while im in a cafe etc for a short stop. Easy to set up and use.
Sadly had to return as I couldn’t seem to get the lock to work. TBH it did seem very flimsy and the button that you press to reset the code felt suspect.I know it’s not a high security lock (I wanted length rather than high security) but the plastic casing seemed very fragile.Not up to the usual Hiplok standard (I have the hiplok lite which is v.good).
Perfect for quick in-outs whilst shopping downtown or grabbing a tea and scone. Obviously not robust for anything longer than 15 minutes, but actually light and small enough that I can carry big lock but not need to faff about with cumbersomeness if I'm just popping in and out.
After a year the internal lock mechanism seized and I can’t get it to unlock even combination is correct. Have to forcefully pull it and manage to unlock but housing broke, its just plastic. I use this almost daily. Went to MEC but got turned down due to wear and tear. I’m basically using it on summer, but as per MEC associate they don’t honor wear and tear after a year. I’m no longer a MEC buyer, rocksolid guarantee is no longer there. So watch out for anything you buy from MEC. I left the lock to them so they can have their own failed product.
Fiddly setting the combination but is easy to use. The plastic case looks and feels dubious but it works perfectly well.
