We bought the 8 piece set +1.5qt sauté + 2 quart saucepan. The cookware has been amazing! We’ve thrown out all of our coated/ nonstick and went 100% all in with stainless and never looked back. It was a little bit getting used to cooking with stainless, but once you make the switch you’ll never want to go back. The cookware has amazing heat retention, searing, and product quality. If you have any concerns about the handles, they do work as advertised. They do stay cool. I have never experienced hot handles. Actually, I haven’t even experienced them getting warm. We had a lid come with a ding. After contacting customer service, they promptly shipping a new one. Extremely satisfied with the PRODUCT and the CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Great quality from a great company! Cooking with Heritage cookware is easy and fun. I first thing I cooked were eggs and they had a lovely crispy edge and soft middle! We will definitely be adding to our collection over time. One lid was slightly damaged in shipping but heritage sent me a new one immediately. They stand by their products. I think they really WILL last a lifetime. The stainless steel cleaner works wonderfully for stuck on oil or discoloration and the pan looks brand new again. I feel like a professional cook when I use them. The learning curve was easy. Just heat your pan prior to use, add your oil second which makes your non stick surface. Wait for the food to heat up enough to lift. “Wait for the lift” my husband and I have been saying as we cook! ... MoreGreat quality from a great company! As a wedding gift to ourselves, my wife and I decided to replace our previous non-stick pots and pans. We have always wanted to move to stainless steel pans and remove as much chemical exposure as possible. After reading some of the reviews, we were nervous but excited to try them out. I watched all the videos about how to cook and clean with stainless steel since I knew it would be a little bit of a learning curve. Right out of the box, the pans looked immaculate, and we couldn’t be happier with them. Cooking with these pans has been simple: allow the pan to warm up properly, and use the water test to ensure you are ready. No matter what, there will always be a little bit of food that will stick to the pan, but it hasn’t caused any issues with tearing or burning ... MoreAs a wedding gift to ourselves, my wife and I decided to replace our previous non-stick pots and pans. Overall, we are happy with this purchase and will be expanding our Heritage Steel collection in the near future.

Defect Corrected! Excellent customer Service! Awesome Pans

Excellent set. The 8 piece set makes a lot of sense to get. Seriously look at the frying pans in the sets you are looking at. Your really only missing a 8.5" small searing pan and a 2qt sauce pan... no big deal. You're going to be shocked at how much that 8quart pot holds if you have been using a 6qt stock pot, a box of speghetti hardly fills the bottom of it. In the set I got my 12inch pan has a bunch of spots in it... Looked like a rainbow trout. It also warped after like 5-6 cooks. I didn't over heat or run anything cold on a hot pan. I had tried everything to get the spots out but they were in the metal. I filled out a warrenty claim and they sent me a replacement pan no shipping charge or anything. The new pan is perfect so far. Very Very happy that I went with Heritage 8-Piece (800 degree oven safe) over the All Clad 10 piece set (600 degree oven safe) your broiler can run past 600 on a good day. The 8 Piece set met way more of my needs than than any other American made 10 piece set I found out there. Prudent Reviews website was very helpful in making my decision as well. I ordered on heritagesteel.us and not amazon which might have delayed getting the pans by a day or two but who cares (it probably made my warrenty claim process that much faster as I didn't have to register my products). If your in the market, know how to cook with stainless or are willing to learn, and have the $$ to spend on these, do it!

Overall great purchase with one suggestion.

We are enjoying this beautiful set of pots and pans. The company has been great to deal with giving immediate responses to queries, and the delivery was very quick, with all items carefully packaged for protection. We have followed the instructions carefully and foods are not sticking to the pans excessively and easily removed if soaked in water. Using the recommended cleanser and scrubber they continue to look brand new and cook foods at lower heat settings and evenly. We are very pleased. The only concern we have is that the handle attachment areas of the frying pans are hard to clean as you can't get a scrubber in there and grease can build up around the rivets. It takes a special little brush to get the area clean. Our old (50 years) Farberware stainless set ... MoreWe are enjoying this beautiful set of pots and pans. These new pans cook better and are more attractive but they require more work to keep them up.

Poor quality and customer service
31 July 2024

I really wish I would have read the poor reviews before purchasing from Heritage Steel. The quality was not as I expected and there is no human to speak with on the phone. I purchased the new Eater Series. We were impressed with the packaging and the set at first but then noticed discoloration and poor quality in particular with the large pot after first use. I tried to reach out to customer service via email. I wanted to speak to someone but there was no number to call. I asked them to call me but no one ever did. They told to me fill out a warranty request which I did. When I reached out again to follow up, I was told they sent a replacement for the pot. Mind you, I did not request to replace the pot. When I mentioned I wanted to return the set, I was told to ship it all back including the replacement pot (that I did not request) at my own expense. I paid about $70+ to send it all back. The two frying pans were not sent back perfectly so they allowed a 50% refund. We paid $525 for the set and lost about $335 in this whole mess.

If I could give zero stars I would. I waited several months before reviewing since everytime I actually decided to use these pans I thought, “just maybe this time they will work.” Nope I was failed every time. I’ve owned several brands, so same price point and much greater. These are the worst. We own rental properties so hence why we have experienced so many brands. When a sets not for me, they go to a property. This set isn’t for me, let alone a property. They’re a nightmare. Not only are the pans costly but it cost you half your batch of food each time. You can follow the directions to the T on how to cook/care for these pans and it still doesn’t matter. I’m truly not sure how anyone rates these pans 5 stars unless the company can regulate reviews. Wanted to give it time to use every piece in this set and cook a variety of dishes before leaving a review. Well, this cookware is amazing and worth the investment in my opinion! I’ve cook fish, oatmeal, soup, veggies, eggs, pasta, and more. The cooking quality is even and responsive. Trickiest thing is getting the warming up of the pan just right before getting any sort of meat or eggs going. In my opinion, it takes just a bit longer than I thought, but not “long” by any stretch. The water droplets test really works, use it! Clean up is easy and straightforward as well if you manage your temps right. If you do get stuck on food, simply follow the directions for soaking or boiling some water and it comes right off. We made the switch to Stainless Steel.
27 December 2023

Like so many others who have reviewed before us, after 40+ yrs of using non-stick cookware we decided to make the switch to stainless steel. What a great decision we made, as Heritage Steel cookware is fantastic. High quality, durable, well made, easy to handle, large handles that stay cool, and non-drip edge when pouring. The single most important reason that influenced our purchase was that we were looking for the best value USA sourced and made product. The Heritage Steel, Eater cookware does not disappoint. Although we have only been using a few short weeks we now enjoy the ability to sear herbs, onions, garlic, etc., and seafood prior to adding remaining ingredients. Something we could never do with non-stick.It should be noted that due to our lack of experience with stainless steel cookware we are dealing with issues that we will eventually work thru: preheating the pans to the right temp, quantity and quality of oil to use, since we add oil to a hot pan we notice more grease splatter and stove clean-up, some foods still sticking, overall cleaning of pans, and since we use a gas stove with cast iron grates the bottom of the steel pans are getting quite scratched up. Again, these issues are a result of our inexperience and do not reflect on how great this cookware is. We also purchased a 12" fry pan to go along with our set. It would be nice if it came with a cover, or one was offered as an option. Our overall recommendation is that the Heritage Steel cookware is a good value, US made product that will defitinely "up" your cooking game.

We very much like...
1 October 2024

We very much like the sizes and shapes included. The rounded bottom saucier turns out to be very handy for soups and oatmeal that we often prepare. We appreciate the steel heft and finish and the heat transfer properties. We have a new induction range and are learning about it as well. With this cookware we can control heat from low to high and back quickly with excellent resolution. Handles work well and often don't need a potholder to touch. By heating the pan before adding oil we have been very happy with how things cook and how easy pans are to clean. Your instructional videos have been helpful. We have used high quality cookware before and HS cookware is even better.
