I bought this jacket knowing that the weather was going to be wet, it does it's job perfectly. True to form it rained constantly and I remained dry and warm. It has a drawstring at the bottom, keeping it tightly wrapped and press studs on the cuffs

When dog walking for 2 hours, this coat keeps the rain off just fine! Always pair with over-trousers to keep the run off from soaking your bottom half!
Have been up on a roof in 45mph rain/gales and no problem with the jacket, does its job and I'm also surprised at how dry it was internally (no cold sweat dripping down the sleeves) as I suppose the loose fit allows it to 'breathe' a little. Not the toughest fabric but as a shield against storms it works for me... the seams all appear to be heat-welded then stitched. Only 2 pockets so not great for carrying your tools.
ive had these waterproofs for about 2 years now and although they are only used every so often when i do need them they are great, im a roofer by trade so these have come into contact with nails, screws and other sharp objects but as yet have never been punctured, also, i erect and take down marquees and can guarantee they are 100% waterproof and have never leaked but they are NOT breathable, for the money they are by far the best on the market and i have and would reccomend these to anyone
sounds stupid but this is the second jacket and trousers I have bought, because I could not believe how bad the first ones were. they leak like a string vest. as did the first set. I am a big fan of Helly Hanson as my hobby is mountaineering. But these although looking great are rubbish. Buy something cheaper and stay dry.
