Head & Shoulders Shampoo Itchy Scalp Care 400ml

I initially thought this was going to be my favourite version of Head & Shoulders, which is a product I (and probably most of the world) have used before. I love the eucalyptus scent and combine that with the ease of availability of Head & Shoulders, you've got a slam dunk. Except I found the cooling, tingling sensation a bit too intense for my liking. The eucalyptus is quite potent here and while I felt it contributed no real benefit beyond what previous versions of Head & Shoulders could deliver, it was a real negative for me as I do not enjoy that cool, tingly feeling on my scalp. Personal preference here and for everyone who hates that, others are going to love it. I just happen to hate it. Otherwise great, but I hate the sensation of cold, tingly scalp.

Pretty straightforward shampoo and conditioner duo – I have intensely itchy scalp issues, mild to severe dandruff depending on my haircare regime, and also a propensity for my scalp to grease up fairly quickly after washing. This product, combined with the conditioner gave some pretty solid, albeit very temporary relief to those issues, particularly the itchiness – but about three days on I can feel particular spots on my head starting to get that familiar itchy tingle again. I’m curious to see how it’ll fare after longer term use, however. I am very grateful to BEAUTYcrew and Head & Shoulders for allowing me to try this product as I’ve had issues with my scalp for years and this past winter it really flared up. It was extremely flaky, dry and itchy and I was making my own “snow”. It can get quite embarrassing indeed. I’ve only used a few products aimed at reducing a dry and/or itchy scalp and have never used anything from Head & Shoulders so I was very excited to try this and the matching conditioner.I really like the bottle and how it’s shaped to sit nicely next to the matching conditioner. If you don’t like the smell of eucalyptus then you don’t need to worry with this shampooThis shampoo foams up nicely, with a decent but not huge amount like a lot of regular shampoos do. It was enough to cover my hair without using more than usual of any shampoo. It actually felt similar to a regular shampoo, just cleansed it better and without leaving any residue behind. It didn’t cause a strange sensation to my scalp, just cleaned it nicely and hydrated it sufficiently. The only thing I'd enjoy more would be more peppermint in the formula as I couldn't really feel it on my scalp, but the formula works and that's the main thing.The thing I’m most impressed with is how good it makes my hair look. I wasn’t expecting my hair to look as shiny and bouncy as a regular shampoo might, so it’s truly wonderful that it improves my scalp and my hair. I haven’t had any flakiness or itchiness since using this with the matching conditioner so in conclusion the Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care Shampoo is a winner for me.
