Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine, 100ml, Eau De Parfum

I received this product for free from Influenster and Gucci in exchange for my honest review. ---------------- This fragrance was not as great as I had expected it to be. I really loved that once you spray it, you are instantly able to smell the jasmine. Some perfumes make it really confusing what the notes are, but there is really no mistaking the jasmine for anything else. The smell is incredible, but where I dock points though is that it does not project well or last very long. I'm usually quite heavy-handed when spraying perfume, but even when I spray a lot, it doesn't seem to do anything. I can smell it for about an hour before it completely disappears from my skin. First off I’m so glad Gucci released this variant. It is completely different from the others of the flora range. I cannot express how much I disliked the “gorgeous gardenia” one. Tried it several times and I guess I don’t like the sugar note in it. But this one is so good. Yes, I like jasmine and white flowers, I enjoy the Gucci Bloom range as well. In the opening I get this citrus note which feels like sniffing a basket of mandarines and then the scent quickly evolves to a quite clean and soapy jasmine. Very office safe, casual pretty scent, not too mature. It was a blind buy for me and full bottle worthy. By the way, the bottle! I love the Gucci Flora collection. I’m a huge fan of floral perfume, and this is probably one of my favorites. My grandmother used to keep jasmine plants all over her house, and their sweet smell reminds me of idyllic times. It’s easy to layer with and can be worn as a daytime scent every day, especially during the summer. It’s a bright scent and perfect for warm weather. My only qualm is the longevity. It fades significantly within the first hour of wear, and is barely perceptible three hours later. Aside from this, I love the packaging, the scent and the nostalgia. I can’t wait to pick up the others in the collection.

This scent is very elegant, with soft white floral and citrus the fragrance is very versatile. The projection is moderate in longevity, but I spray onto my clothes, not my skin. Now for my favorite part, the atomizer is IMMACULATE. Once pushed, it dispenses a consistent and even spray. Gucci is well known for using jasmine in nearly everything, the jasmine in this fragrance isn't as strong as most, such as Gucci Bloom. As someone who doesn't like floral all too much, this is perfect. It doesn't give the "old lady scent" that most people think jasmine usually does. The mandarin is an excellent compliment to the jasmine. The fragrance comes off as fresh, fun and elegant and can be worn anywhere. Perfect for any outing.

I just turned 40, and I've been trying to track this scent down ever since. With the advent of Google, it's allowed me to psycho-obessively attempt to research what the scent could have been. Years of relentless search to replicate has proven fruitless, and a weird olfactory injury plus a recent covid infection had rendered my search at a standstill, thinking the scent was just a distant memory destined to live only in my head. Until this past weekend, when the color of the bottle and twist on the newer Gucci Flora Gardenia made me curious to try it out and when I tell you I was INSTANTLY TRANSPORTED. AMAZING but DOESN’T LAST :(

I’m frustrated because I received this perfume as a gift and I absolutely LOVE the scent. It smells fresh, floral and clean. Unfortunately..:..it’s very short lived! The scent goes completely away. I’ve really sprayed it everywhere. Even my clothes which I know you’re not supposed to do, but still I can’t smell it at all just a few hours later and it’s gone. I’ve used other Gucci perfumes that smell amazing but same thing. Their scents DO NOT LAST. It’s not my nose getting used to the smell. The scent just evaporates. So sad!!

My Favourite Floral

I am not usually one to enjoy women's perfumes - or any perfumes - as I tend to prefer fresh and woodier aromas typically found in men's colognes (I generally would just use a simple Dove body wash and deodorant). My mother has always worn floral scents (most recently favoring Marc Jacob's and Versace bright crystal), and I've always found the scents to be a bit cloying and heavy for myself. However I loved this perfume the second I sprayed it! It is definetly floral, but smells lighter and lively - it always makes me smile and feel elegantly feminine. I received this product in exchange for my honest review and instantly had to try it out. Personally, I am not too into floral scents because I think they can smell overly grandma-like (no offense to all the older ladies lol). However, I wouldn’t say this perfume smells like that. Oddly, it reminds me of a soap (my mom thinks air freshener lol).I wouldn’t say it smells bad per se but it’s definitely a strong, floral soapy scent so if that’s your vibe you probably would like this. For the price point, I think there’s better options for you. Personally I would never repurchase this myself because it’s not a fragrance I’d wear and it’s pretty expensive.The staying power on the skin is pretty good, it fades but not crazily on me.
