It might have an enormous battery, but that doesn't mean that is has a better battery life. I read an article about how Google is constantly retrieving data from your phone, significantly more than any other phone maker, and it makes me think that this might be connected to the poor battery life. After buying the phone, I also discovered that the software support is very ungenerous. You'll get OS updates for less than 3 years and security updates for less than 5 years. It all seems like planned obsolescence. So while the phone is significantly cheaper than other phones on the market, the price cut comes with a cost. From my experience over the last month, I can say that I wouldn't purchase a Pixel phone again unless significant changes are made. If you want a phone to use resource intensive apps with, definitely avoid this one, the apps will KO the battery.

I decided to give this phone a chance with my new upgrade. I have an iPhone 12 and upgraded to have the Pixel 7 Pro. Really big phone, didn't realize how big it was because I did the upgrade over the phone. What I love about the Pixel is there is a feature where you can reduce motion where in comparison to iPhone, the Pixel is almost instantaneous, I like that. What I also like about that is that you can open a browser on any computer and scan a QR code from your phone to text off the browser just like Apple can text from the iCloud on Apple compatible devices. What I do not like about the Pixel so far is that sometimes it does glitch. When I have an incoming call and accidentally tap just slightly upwards when trying to tap the incoming call to expand the screen to see any details, it would hide the incoming call completely. There is no little icon to the top left just like with an iPhone where you can click the incoming call and I have found that you have to select the power button and re click it to make the call reappear if you catch it in time. Also, who doesn't have a Facebook right? When you click an active person to view their profile, I find myself having to exit then click the active user again just for the view profile icon to appear. On Pixel, I don't have an "all photos" option, just multiple files for specific shared/ downloaded photos etc.I really don't like that in your photo album you have a little bag icon to click for Google to sell you prints that you can pick up from your local print store. I hate upselling techniques.Sometimes when you delete a text you have to refresh your app. When in the contacts folder I could sometimes find a contact by scrolling for it but when typing it in, it wouldn't show. Overall, we're in 2023, but I am not satisfied with this phone. I really like Google and wish to learn how to be an app developer, but for the $900, This phone should retail around $600 or less.

The quality of images, especially in low light conditions, is simply astonishing. The camera software is robust, with features like Night Sight and Super Res Zoom continuing to impress. One of the most significant enhancements has been the introduction of Google's custom chip. I've noticed a marked improvement in the speed and responsiveness of the device compared to previous generations. Apps load faster, multitasking is smoother, and there is a noticeable improvement in battery life.Speaking of battery life, the Pixel 7's battery is long-lasting, allowing for heavy usage throughout the day without having to scramble for a charger. The fast charging feature is also incredibly convenient, giving a significant battery boost in a short period. The phone runs on the latest version of Android, which, combined with Google's clean UI, delivers a smooth and intuitive user experience. Regular updates and the assurance of a robust privacy and security framework are additional benefits. However, the device isn't without its shortcomings.
