One of the last "smaller / normal-sized" phones that is reliable, has good software and hardware features, and provided great value over the long run thanks to the above-average update support. A really great flagship product. The camera is pretty good, though I find it lacking for accurate photography. Most phone cameras are, though. Surprisingly, I found the 3a model slightly more preferable. I used both long-term, the 3a before the 3. The tiny bit of additional screen space, the slighty different screen technology, the headphone jack just made for a more comfortable user experience, on top of the 3a being cheaper and having a slightly longer period of updates.

The phone is very nice on appearance. It has a very large screen. But I definitely will never get another Google pixel 3 again. I've had 2. The first one lasted about a year. I had to use my insurance to get another one bc they declared it a manufacturer defect. ( The insurance would only give me the same phone for free) It randomly plays YouTube without me touching it. The screen will be black and the phone locked and all of a sudden it will pull up YouTube. It will say a certain time it will die but die 30 minutes to an hour before the time it says. Everytime I try to watch Netflix it has a static line moving across it. It shuts off randomly, it doesn't tell me everytime I have a text or phone call. It mutes people while I'm on the phone ( my screen is clean so ... MoreThe phone is very nice on appearance. It has a very large screen. But I definitely will never get another Google pixel 3 again. I end up having to unlock my phone, go all the way in to the clock settings, scroll to the alarm that's going off and turn it off. And the icing on the cake is the latest update!!!! It changed the whole format of my phone so now I have to relearn my whole phone again. It's so frustrating. I will never get another Google pixel again! I will stick to android.

I was a little concerned that the phone might have annoying scratches on the screen. It did arrive with 2 extremely minor scratches, but I have to look carefully to see them. The battery life has been fully acceptable, much better than the Pixel XL that this phone is replacing. I purchased a wireless charger that meets the Qi standard, and it works well with the Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 screen is larger than than on my XL, yet the phone itself is significantly smaller. Once I transferred my data from the old phone to the Pixel 3, Google offered an OS upgrade to Android 12. This being the last OS upgrade the Google will provide for the phone, I installed it. It has some convenient features. Lastly, the Pixel 3 is a recent enough product that I was able to buy an Otterbox ... MoreI was a little concerned that the phone might have annoying scratches on the screen. Overall, an excellent phone for an excellent price.

I love this phone. I have had it for 3 years and it still runs as smoothly as the day I bought it. I rarely have any issues with it and, on those rare occasions, a reboot or update fixes it right away. Phones I've had in the past have started to lag after about a year or so (planned obsolescence?). Eventually, they have needed to be replaced because the OS would just die out. This one is still going strong and I adore it. Screen resolution is great for videos, sound is awesome for music and podcasts, and photo quality still blows my mind even in 2021. Heck, even the headphones it came with still work and are some of the best I've had!The only drawback is the battery life. However, when I bought it new, I was satisfied with it. It may have been just a bit shorter ... MoreI love this phone. I have had it for 3 years and it still runs as smoothly as the day I bought it. It may have been just a bit shorter than what I was expecting but not by much. It was still charged after work and when I got home. Now, probably due to its age, it needs charging especially after consistent use. However, it charges quickly and strategic chargers in my car and living room keep her perky. If you want the newest, hottest phone every year, then you'll want to pass. If you're like me, though, and want to buy a phone and not have to again for years, this is an excellent option! I bought it in 2018 and will use it until it breaks.
The Google Pixel 3 is a reminder of what kind of value we used to get for our money when buying a phone. as little as 2 years ago. I bought it used/refurbished for $210 (with a 2-year warranty covering parts and labor) which is what a phone should cost, not these ridiculous $1,200 flagship phones that are designed to solve nonexistent problems. Yeah I can't experience the full color palette of the movie Coco in a velvety smooth 120+ frames per second, but I also have an additional $800-1,000 + the cost of chargers and new earbuds sitting in my back pocket which is a tradeoff I'll take. Speaking of headphones, not only did this come with an actual charger, it came with a FREE PAIR OF HEADPHONES. And not some rinky dink headphones - these are the criminally underrated ... MoreThe Google Pixel 3 is a reminder of what kind of value we used to get for our money when buying a phone. as little as 2 years ago. And not some rinky dink headphones - these are the criminally underrated wired google pixel buds. The sound is great and the 'cord as a stabilizing loop' is comfortable and a brilliant use of engineering. As far as the phone itself, battery life isn't great but it's more than enough to never be an issue charging intermittently in my car, at my desk at work, etc. The photos this camera produces are way better than they have any right to be. Google's AI photo processing is leaps and bounds beyond anything else out there today and my photos aren't world class but they look great even compared with modern flagship phones. If you can tell the difference you're either zoomed in 20x, a professional photographer, or full of it. Every phone I've owned since 2011 has essentially the same specs: 8 core processor, 2-4 GB of ram, few hundred GB of memory/storage, and 1-2 days battery life. Price I paid for those phones ranges from $750 (Huwaei Nexus 6p new) to $200 (pixel 2 I used to own and pixel 3 I have now). From a user perspective, I can't tell a single difference between any of the last 5 phones I've owned (the 2 not mentioned were a droid razr back in 2011/2012 and an LG V4 or something) except that now I'm not getting taken to the cleaners every time the battery life goes down the drain due to planned obsolescence. Great phone and buying it doesn't make you feel like Ned Beatty in Deliverance.
Phone received in great condition. Description of the device stated would not be verizion compatible. I was unaware of this until i had already purchased. Happy to say that is works great on Verizon network with a prepaid card. However two complaints, first being that using this as a personal and work phone, I had expectations that GOOGLE FI would be compatible. After discussing with google fi customer support, this is a phone issue. Not a network one. Second complaint is that the battery is very weak. On a full charge, I can run google maps for three hours with all other apps in standy by or disabled and the device will utilize the battery within the three hour period. I have much experience in android phones and have tried everything to maximize the length of time ... MorePhone received in great condition. I have much experience in android phones and have tried everything to maximize the length of time in which i charge the phone due to being at work and needing the phone being a mobile , not a mobile landline if you will. Im hoping to speak with the seller and find a resolution because all in all, the phone works splendidly. I enjoy the feel, and being a referbished device , the cosmetic wear is very minimal. I highly recommend this seller for overall price of product, overall reliability for a referbished mobile device product and speed of delivery.
I wonder if the other reviewer knows he/she needs to poke the existing SIM card out through the hole from the back side of the tray. Unlike most SIM tray where the card moves freely, this SIM tray has retention clips to secure the SIM card to the tray, so it's not possible to lift it with just fingers. This GA-01284-US model is a carrier unlocked T-mobile variant (it comes with a T-mobile SIM installed, but you can just poke it out) for those who knows what's the importance of this. Anyone who value the ability to unlock bootloader should never buy a Verizon variant. This is a very important message. T-mobile variant is fine. In fact, all other variants should be fine except Verizon.I don't like the current trend of big phones. In fact, all other variants should be fine except Verizon.I don't like the current trend of big phones. I also dislike $400+ price tag for a phone; so a powerful phone like this Pixel 3 in a smaller footprint (around 145mm x 70mm is the max I can tolerate) at a reasonable price point is important to me. I know I am a little late to get a Pixel 3 due to support ending in 2021, but I don't care much using slightly outdated phones. Besides, I could just unlock the bootloader and extend its life by installing Lineage OS once support ends. At the current price point I paid for this phone, it is a no-brainer for me.
Overall product is OK. Does have sign of wear (scratch) on back but not such bad. Product received without any booklet or manual. A new alternative (not original) adapter but compatible charger along with a cable received, and it always takes long time to fully charged. No needle provided for opening SIM tray. One point here I must mention is that it discharges very swiftly even not in use. And the discharge is approximately 50% within one day even not a single use. So, just imagine what will happen if I need to call several person and use browsing 20 minutes. This problem I never faced with any other phones I have ever had. Back portion gets unusual hot while in charging and talking over phone. Thanks
I haven't had a phone as resilient, and as adaptable, customizable, and for the size and weight of it.. long lasting battery life and crazy awesome sound/video, since my HTC one. There's a reason for that tho! Lol. I beat my HTC one into smithereens, literally no lights but still had the touch so I could feel the vibrations of my pattern and then use headphones to tell my phone to text/call someone. This phone reminds me SO much of that phone that I've literally had it since it was released, paying close to 1k for it, and now the 5 is out and you know what? I think I'm good. I'll wait another round. My pixel 3 is primarily used for photos and music. I haven't had to leave it connected to a charger, havent had overheating issues (even tho I work outside and live in florida) so I'm honestly befuddled (I just started using that word again and I dig it, hate on if you don't) at the other reviewers post. 2 pixels doing the same random stuff? Back off the porn sites yo cause I haven't ever had those types of issues and, as previously stated, I like to beat the hell outta my electronics. Hope this helps. Btw. Pics are still some of the most amazing captured with a phone I have ever seen. When I post them people think I have skills and I for sure do not.
If you want the peak of Android right now, you need a Pixel 3 or 3 XL. I like the smaller size of the Pixel 3 which is more comfortable to use with one hand and to carry in my pocket. The Pixel 3 does not have the fastest processor, most RAM, most storage, etc. but it does have high specs in most categories and is the Android phone where the hardware is most smoothly integrated with Google's software. The good: the camera really is as good as everybody says. It creates beautiful images, is fast, great in low light, and easy to use. The fingerprint scanner is zippy and accurate, and being able to swipe down on it to show notifications is a nice touch. The squeeze-for-Assistant feature is handier than I thought it would be, especially when walking. The screen is crisp ... MoreIf you want the peak of Android right now, you need a Pixel 3 or 3 XL. The fingerprint scanner is zippy and accurate, and being able to swipe down on it to show notifications is a nice touch. The squeeze-for-Assistant feature is handier than I thought it would be, especially when walking. The screen is crisp and clear with those deep OLED blacks, but it seems like I need to keep the brightness pretty high in normal use. People say the Pixel 3 battery life is not stellar, and while I agree, it is fine to get me through the day or longer with normal use--I don't have battery anxiety with this phone. It requires a special charger (currently only Google and Belkin make compatible ones) to quick-charge wirelessly. It will charge at a lower rate with other wireless chargers, though, and seems to charge quickly enough plugged into my other two high output wall chargers. I haven't tried the wireless charging yet. This phone is a joy to hold. The size, shape, contours, and textures are all a pleasure. Unfortunately once I put a case on it to protect from my children and from accidental drops, that gorgeous tactile experience is mostly gone along with it's slim profile. One thing to watch for is that many of the unlocked Pixel 3s have their bootloader locked because they were originally sold by or destined for Verizon. Sellers may not know or care, so do your homework if it matters to you. Mine has OEM unlocking disabled, but unless you plan to root the phone I don't think you'll mind that one bit. It's still unlocked for other mobile carriers and was a breeze to get activated on T-Mobile. Aside from the camera there are not a lot of mind-blowing features here, but there are many, many thoughtful little things that make using this phone easier and more pleasant. The list price of $799 strikes me as a bit high (but only a bit), but on sale or refurbished you can get a great value for your money.
