I needed a slightly larger grip for my irons but I wanted a basic grip until I replaced the whole set in the bag. These are perfect and have actually stayed on longer then planned. I do like to Plus 4 design from Golf Pride but these are easy to install and are grippy months later. Good grip for their price.

Installed this grip on my driver for three reasons. First less taper means less build up tape under my right (lower) hand-which I have done for years. Second feel is perfect vs a firmer wrap styled grip I have used regularly for years without being too soft like certain other grips....kind of a Goldilocks option that inspires comfort and club control. Lastly grip weight matched well to the swing weight I was after. Not sure of durability as have only played a handful of rounds but using tour velvet on my wedges for years I suspect good results from the compound used in this Plus4 version.

I switched to the tour velvet grip because they are softer and easier on the arthritis on my hands than what I was playing. The plus 4 version has a reduced taper near the bottom of the grip which is once again easier on my right hand than the normal smaller version at the bottom. If your hands hurt I recommend giving them a try.

I require a midsize by all measurements and recommendations but hate the feel through my middle finger through pinky of my lead hand, just feels too big and like I have to add pressure. The standard plus four in this grip is a solution giving me the smaller better feel middle finger through pinky of lead hand and midsize feel index finger of leaf hand through entire trail hand. I love the grip.
These grips are great. Having the extra thickness for the lower hand makes these grips so comfortable. If you are looking for a firmer grip and always put extra wraps of tape in the bottom portion these are for you. If you like the GP tour velvet check these out. I found these were a great alternative to going up to the next size grip. I highly recommend.
I originally had some Super Stroke Traxion grips and while I originally liked them I felt like their midsized grip was more standard size. They were also a little slippery when wet. These new tour velvet Plus4 are perfect. Size and feel they fit me great. They are soft yet tacky and never seem to slip I also enjoy the fact that they are black and simple and don’t distract one grippingI’m not really sure why you would need any other grip besides the tour velvet +4. Price is great features are great they are great
I've been regrouping a lot the last couple years trying to find the perfect versatile grip and this is it. I've always loved the tour velvet feel and since I went to playing without a glove I went the Winn route but found the wire out relatively quickly and are a sponge in the wet weather. I went back to these after the microsuede wrap and felt like I had a better grip on these and are easily wiped off with a dry towel when wet or just pair them with the Footjoy wet gloves if I had to, the two materials interact perfectly. A also had to remove a couple of these using a wire hanger and grip solvent and they weren't damaged at all, super durable. If you have smaller hands, don't get the +4 because you want to be able to just about touch the tips of your index and ... If you have smaller hands, don't get the +4 because you want to be able to just about touch the tips of your index and thumb on your bottom hand and make sure you have enough pinky overlap, but if your fingers are too close together because you have longer digits then these are the most solid feel you can have in my opinion. The thicker, less tapered lower part of the grip are becoming more and more common for a good reason.
I have used many grips through the years and have generally been a "soft grip" / wrap user. I played Tour Velvets for the first half of the year after being urged by a friend and really liked them. But, I missed the no-taper feel of the CP2s. These grips are awesome - plenty of feel and great grip in wet or dry conditions. My hands feel much less fatigued after long range sessions than with wraps. Great job!
One of my golf-nerd buddies recommended that I try changing my factory installed grips to the Tour Velvet Plus4 grips to see an improvement in my score. I did...it did. I'm not a big dude, 5'9 a buck eighty soaking wet. I always believed it was only the monster guys that needed bigger grips - that size didn't matter for us normal guys. WRONG. Size does matter when your gripping your club :-). I've relaxed the pressure in my arms and hands and my swing has become much for fluid and rhythmic. My hands rest around the grip, still providing just enough relaxed tension to hold on AND feel the contact between the club and my body. Who'da thought? Obviously not me.
Love the feel. Tried Jumbo grips, and not for me. Was looking at just the standard size but decided to go midsize and love the feel. No death grip, no finger fatigue. Really digging these new grips. Allows me to swing easy and can use with or without gloves.
