Godox Qt 600IIIM HSS Studio Flash 600Ws

Wonderful light, solid build and provides the speed for my high speed commercial work. Love the fact that these have the colour stable modes as well!

I really wanted to love these lights (I got two qt600iii and two qt400iii). We'll start with the bad:- Upon their arrival I noticed that they are much heavier than I expected - it speaks of build quality to an extent, but also makes them less comfortable to work with on booms and arms, requiring more sandbags.- After a few shoots I can say that Godox could (and should for the price) have done better. Yes, I get occasional misfires, not a complete disaster. The thing that drives me absolutely bonkers is that they sometimes fire at full power while clearly not set to such. Most other lights I worked with either silently purged, or autopurged when the setting was lowered.- The menus are not quite clear, with a bunch of settings in mystery-meat submenus without any indication what they might mean. Must always refer to manuals. There are too many buttons, they can clearly do with less.- They are loud (POP!) when they fire, even at lower settings.The better:- Fast recycle- Consistent color when in color mode- Great modeling lights!Generally speaking, I don't find these to be better than anything else I've used (in a range of price-points). Considering that this is a third gen product, I'm surprised at all the quirks and design choices. My search for lights will sadly continue.
