Bought in an overpriced bundle with an AORUS 3080.Card was DOA. One part of the backplate was bent. Computer would not boot if card was connected to PSU.Swapped out my old perfectly fine Corsair CX750M for this one thinking my old PSU wasn't supplying enough wattage, only to have it fry my RGB panel and all 6 of my case fans and brick my HDD which was about a year old. I spent about 20 hours in the past 2 days trying to fix my computer because of this stupid bundle. The quality control at Gigabyte is LEGENDARILY bad. I don't know how it's legal for them to sell their badly made products (also bought two AORUS monitors a few months ago and they BOTH had display issues-dust and dead pixels--BOTH OF THEM). Buy this if you want to destroy your computer.

I got this PSU from the Newegg bundle that came with the RTX 3070. It was working great actually; however, 4 months later my PC started crashing and rebooting itself randomly . I thought it was something else until I researched this problem and it turns out I have a faulty PSU (which really isn't surprising since lots of reviews here are DOA). I thought I was one of a few people that actually had a good PSU, but I would stay away the hell away from this PSU. Gigabyte is only good for their graphics card and motherboard, nothing else. STAY AWAY!

Like many other reviewers, I bought this power supply as part of a bundle from a Newegg shuffle to get a video card. I read the reviews and was wary of a "DOA" PSU so I tested it in my build to see if it would start it up. It did, so I hoped that whatever quality issues that resulted in the poor ratings for this PSU have been cleared up. I finished my build with it and ran it without any real problems for 3 weeks. Then, boom all of a sudden, my PC won't turn on. Now I feel like I'm in a worse boat than the folks with a DOA PSU because now I have tear down my PC, replace the PSU and do all the cable management over again. I hope I'm not in this position again, but if I am, I'll never go in for a bundle with a 2-egg rated item again.

Not sure if all these negative reviews are sour grapes because you had to buy this to get a GPU or people who don't know how to turn on a switch. I felt compelled to leave a review because of all the negative ones. I have had 8 builds that I have completed using this PSU and have not had a single issue with any of them, nor have I heard back from any of my customers that purchased them. If you are irritated because you had to buy this to get a GPU please call your mother and complain instead. Don't take it out on Gigabyte. I am so sick of moaners, whiners and cry babies. If you don't want the bundle....DON"T TAKE IT. I gladly will and I will complete another build for another happy customer.
So I was another 3070 combo victim. But decided to go along with it since I was building a 2nd PC for the family as I built my new gaming rig. 750W was overkill but needed some sort of PSU. Unit was nice enough, worked fine for a few hours then I heard this deafening whine coming from the unit. In all my years of PC building (always used Corsair PSUs) never heard that sound. So I shut everything down and did some research. Found some tips that may make it go away, so I let the PC run doing some medium load bench marking to see if it would work itself out. The noise did go away here and there but would always return. Sadly need to remove unit from the build and return it as Gigabyte customer service is near useless. After getting a scratched 3070 (That gigabyte support to me to just return it, ha yeah right!) and now this defective PSU, I've avoided gigabyte in the past but definitely will do so in the future. So many other vendors that have quality customer service.
I too got this with a GPU bundle (04/2021.) Luckily, I seen the path laid by those before me and chose to start with expendable equipment and work my way up to something I may actually care about. Started with a junk system (old i5 and R9 270) and it powered on. Everything survived. Then stepped it up to a i3-10100F & 3060 (non-TI) system. But knowing what was happening to others I used MSI Afterburner to crank every GPU setting to the left and only use about 100w. It really is a shame how this went down. Newegg forcing a product on people in order to buy a GPU and Gigabyte for building such a piece of junk.
This came in a bundle with a 3080 TI GPU. Whenever you try to put that sick new graphics card to the test, this PSU is not able to handle itself and forces your computer to reset. Running anything more draining than Google Chrome causes you to have the constant dread of a computer reset and the possibility of damaging your hardware. I honestly wish it was DOA because at least then I wouldnt have had to deal with the stress of wondering what the problem was. I went out and bought a Corsair PSU and have had no problems since. Gigabyte can make a mean GPU, but I would never recommend their PSUs to my worst enemy. They knew this model was a piece of junk and knew the only way they could move volume would be to bundle them with something they knew wouldnt get returned, ... MoreThis came in a bundle with a 3080 TI GPU. I purchased this power supply last September and didn't install it until after Christmas in a new system build. This was the 1st computer I have built in 25 years. At first my system wouldn't power on. After some troubleshooting, I discovered I had used the wrong cable for the CPU power. After replacing with the correct cable, system powered on with no issues. I wish they would label the cables so someone who is new or rusty like me would not make this mistake. It has been over a month and it's still working just fine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I'm not jinxing it after reading the other reviews. I bought it because at the time of purchase, PSU's were hard to get and It was available. Gigabyte is my go to for need it now long lasting high performance with no hassle installs, until now. The packaging is nice and that's where it all ended. With two faulty cables one being a VGA the other the 24 pin my frustration began to brew into total chaos only to track down the issue to the cables then the actual power supply itself being faulty. (I build for a living folks and after thousands of systems assembled this is a first) sure a unit here and there in my career but never a unit and two bad cables. What an absolute diagnostic headache. Luckily this was bought purchased from MicroCenter and had a zero issue return thanks to the great folks located at the Brentwood location, only its two hours away but like I even need a reason to go.
Work perfectly. If you don't go up to 3080 TI graphic card, this should work fluently for your customized desktop. Caleb are neat and you can install only what area necessary. I cannot understanding one of the review saying that RBG not light up with this psw, it works perfectly for my liquid cooler fan ARGB, memory, and case fans ARGB. No issue at all.
