Beautiful Instrument!

Found small bit of sawdust in the case. Not a big deal but for the money, shame on Gibson Custom Shop! The guitar more than lives up to expectations. Fit and Antique Tinted finish flawless. Balanced, light, true hollow body with mid-treb acoustic sound. Should get rounder with playing and age. Plugged in, P90s hot. clear. Noise? yes but with experience, not an issue (they are P90s!). Beautiful looking and a joy to play. Is it worth it? Considering it goes for roughly the equivalent of an upper end production line guitar, is a true hollow body and a relatively unique instrument, yes. As always, thanks to Musician's Friend for the no hassle purchase, fast, well protected shipping and great customer service.

Brilliant, inspiring guitar

I got this second-hand for a big birthday. I tried it side-by-side with a new short-necked 330, also from the customer shop. They were both great but when I played them with my eyes closed and the shop assistant handed me them randomly, the feel, tone and playability made the decision for me.

Excellent Build, Beautiful Sounds.

After upping the strings to 12's it sounds wonderful. A little tweak to the truss rod to accommodate the higher string tension and it plays great. Noticeably lighter than the Casino, and it sounded better too (even with the old, rusty 10's it had on in the store).

Still learning about this new guitar. It has wonderful tone, easy to play, and came so quickly. Blemishes are really imperceptible and for the price, not an issue to me.

Nothing to dislike so far. It's brand new, so there is a lot of static electricity issues at this point, but that is already fading. One strange issue: from looking on the web and talking to my sales rep, it would seem that it is normal for hollowbodies to ship from Gibson full of sawdust, I assume from routing the pickup and pot holes. That is ridiculous. Musiciansfriend clearly took a good shot at shaking a bunch out, but there was still a lot in there. It's messy and it could interfere with the pickup switch. Why you wouldn't blow that out before installing the electronics is beyond me. I took care of it, but it is curious and doesn't make me more confident about the factory process.Bottom line is that the guitar is exactly as I hoped it would be and I got the ... MoreNothing to dislike so far. I took care of it, but it is curious and doesn't make me more confident about the factory process.Bottom line is that the guitar is exactly as I hoped it would be and I got the price I was looking for. Yes, you could get a Casino Elitist or many other p90 equipped hollowbodies for much less, but I didn't want any of them. This was the one.Despite the model number being a 330, it is actually a 330L with the neck join at the 19th fret. The neck join is supposed to be stronger than the late 60's ES-330 models with the join at the 19th. Clearly you can't tell from the outside, but so far so good, it feels very solid for such a light guitar (~6 lbs). As far as features, it is what it is, no surprises. I like the little upgrades from the vintage era 330's, like the tuners, inlay and the knobs/pots. The new Gibson neck profile is good fit for me too. It is mostly like a 60's slim (I have a 335 with that neck), but it is a little wider past around the 10th fret.So far so good. No surprises on the finish and look, the guitar I got is the one in the photo precisely. Neck relief was perfect for my taste, all I had to do was lower the action and flip one of the saddles to get the intonation right, no biggie.Guitars at this price level, it's all a matter of taste. I was thrilled to get a natural ES-330 for the same price as the other finishes. It is the exact guitar I have wanted for a long time and I was not keen on shelling out three times as much for a vintage natural finish guitar.

One fine Guitar

I've played 50 years, my first good guitar Christmas 1967 Gibson ES330, this guy feels even better. One of the most versatile guitars ever made, so glad they returned it to the Gibson line!
