I was a bit skeptical that this smallest of the small smartwatches would be dainty enough to not look or feel clunky on my petite wrist, but I was pleasantly surprised. Normally I've worn really tiny watches with 15mm faces up to 23mm. The Lily's styling is sufficiently dainty and refined looking to feel like I'm just wearing a nice watch, appropriate for work or going out. Surprisingly comfortable to sleep with as well. It does seem to struggle a little with auto pausing and unpausing activities being recorded compared to my various phone based fitness tracking apps. (As others have mentioned there doesn't seem to be a manual pause function and the watch wants to auto save your activity if you've stopped too long). However if you just ignore the save prompts it ... MoreI was a bit skeptical that this smallest of the small smartwatches would be dainty enough to not look or feel clunky on my petite wrist, but I was pleasantly surprised. Overall happy.

I have now had the Garmin Lily since December. I’ve had to reset it roughly every three weeks. It begins by working, pretty effectively, then at about week to it barely registers rest & my body never increases above 40.In the sleep, tracking, I find useful. But, as I said, by week two or three, I no longer seem to get any rest in sleep according to the body battery. Even when, I have a good night’s sleep and feel good the next day.I have experienced two times where to watch has shut down on its own & stopped working for half a day even though it was charged.I really wanted this watch to work effectively. I love the features & what it is suppose to do. Unfortunately, I have been consistently disappointed & frustrated.

This was my first smartwatch and I love that it's not chunky like many other smartwatches. It has all the basic functions you can expect from a smartwatch and even shows the temperature, date and even has an alarm function as well! The watch should last up to 5 days if you have it connected to Bluetooth every day. Otherwise, if you don't wear it too often and don't generally have it connected to Bluetooth, it should last even longer, maybe for about 7 days. Charging time is also fairly quick.Sometimes, it doesn't show all the messages and notifications your phone has received when Bluetooth is connected, but the smartwatch does show all the notifications most of the time. The Lily Classic Edition is my first smartwatch. I've had it since mid-March, and it has honestly changed my life. The daily statistics have made me much more attentive to my fitness and wellbeing.I'm competitive - mostly with myself, and I find myself working harder to match or beat the previous day's activity, intensity, sleep stages, stress levels, etc. When my watch alerts me that I've been idle too long, that I need to take a break or stretch, I do it. When it asks if I want to add to my hydration log, I drink so I can add to it. It validates me, and I feel better about myself because I am better - and this watch is the impetus behind that improvement in many ways.I bought the classic edition with the leather strap because I don't want this to look like a ... MoreThe Lily Classic Edition is my first smartwatch. It validates me, and I feel better about myself because I am better - and this watch is the impetus behind that improvement in many ways.I bought the classic edition with the leather strap because I don't want this to look like a sports watch. My experience wearing a Movado watch with a leather band taught me that it's not a big deal to sweat while wearing it. I wore it all the time, and I sweat a lot, just as I am doing now with this watch. When I need to get a new band, I will. I love the classic look and style of this watch. The battery lasts plenty long, and I'm motivated to keep it charged because I don't want it to miss a thing. I even bought an extra charger to keep in my car. It charges quickly. It's also durable. I wouldn't suggest beating it to test that theory, but I have hit it playing some pretty aggressive tennis, and it's has sustained no damage at all. I do have a screen protector on it.It's comfortable and lightweight. It looks nice, and although it was hard to give up the Movado I loved and wore for 20+ years prior, after one day with the Lily, I never looked back.I have no regrets at all.

I really like smart watches that look like proper watches. I want the convenience of tracking serious activity with strong GPS in a slim profile. And I dislike thick and/or wide faces on watchbands they’re great on rugged terrain but when typing at work they can really aggregate my wrist. So I was excited to see the Lily (I love the aesthetic!) and cast aside my Apple Watch for it. Amazing battery life compared to Apple and love that it’s slimmer than Apple. I also completely adore the soft narrower leather band option! I find it so much more comfortable than silicone for daily activities less than 2 hours. For that slim profile alone I’m willing to live with less functions but if there were upgrades, I really wish it had more functionality like HRV tracking. For that slim profile alone I’m willing to live with less functions but if there were upgrades, I really wish it had more functionality like HRV tracking. If it had that and and a quick way to swap out a sports band, I’d be smitten! One small thing that’s embarrassing, the graphics around “morning” and “goal met”. I haven’t figured out how to make the graphics go away yet and socially it is something that gets poked fun at, makes the watch seem less serious and more like a weight loss program tool. But, I’m sure Garmin built in a way to turn it off, I just haven’t found it yet…
(Quick profile on me - late 30s female looking for a watch that also tracked steps, athletic activities, and sleep; moderately active) I was so excited to find this smartwatch because it had a lot of what I was looking for but I have been incredibly disappointed with its performance. I am mad at myself for not returning it within the warranty period - I kept hoping Garmin would fix it. The pros: for me, I was particularly interested in a smartwatch that didn’t obviously look like one and would fit a small wrist. It does well on both accounts. I like the pattern design when it’s dark and that the smart functions are generally limited to fitness related - I didn’t want to be distracted by a million phone notifications. I love that having a watch generally helps me pick up my phone less to check the time, etc. As for the digital interface, it’s a bit clunky but there is some customization allowed. I also like the body battery feature because I think it tracks my energy level reasonably well (or maybe it’s the placebo effect - regardless, it’s often fun to use it as an excuse to leave an event because I’m down to the teens or single digits of body battery - time to retire!). The cons - the “smartwatch” hardly functions as a watch because the software has been so glitchy since day one. It first started with a problem where when it recognized an activity (frequently a long walk or hike) it would freeze, essentially turn off, wouldn’t record the activity, and couldn’t be turned back on until plugged into its charging device. Mind you, this had nothing to do with battery level - it could happen frequently on a full charge. The company was aware of this issue and tried several patches that sometimes worked but have not completely removed the problem. I also have an issue where the watch will think I’m starting an activity when I’m not (I’m sitting at work) and will get in a cycle where it constantly wants to start and record an activity that does not exist so I have to reset it. These feel like they could be fixable yet I’ve owned the watch for one year (I know, stupid me, why am I suffering? Other than I can’t find an alternative to what I need - style, steps, not complete Apple Watch “smartness”) - and Garmin hasn’t fixed this issue and has been VERY unhelpful on the customer service side at resolving. Other things I don’t like about the software that aren’t glitch related - I don’t think it records sleep well at all. There are nights where I’m definitely up in the middle of the night (im reading even! To try to fall back asleep) and it thinks I’m fast asleep. Definitely subpar on sleep. Also don’t like that it can’t auto recognize activities. For example, it doesn’t recognize I’m on a bike unless I specifically start that activity. I think the fitbit software excelled (or was at least far better) in both of these categories. I also don’t like that when the garmin fails and I’d like to add activities missed, it won’t record the estimated steps to my daily total. Bottom line- the watch has potential but it fails on execution. Until Garmin makes some software improvements, I cannot recommend this watch.
This watch is stylish with customisable face and favourites. It gives you an overview each morning when you start the day. I do not use it’s full functionality as I mostly wear it as a watch and to record date and sometimes a glance at a calendar. The alarm function is handy too. Only functions I am skeptical about are measuring “ stress levels”. Apparently I am often stressed which I certainly don’t feel! Also the watch face sometimes remains blank despite my moving my arm in the desired way to make the face appear. This can be frustrating when you wish to quickly capture the time. All round it suits me very well as I did not need anything super high tech.
