I purchased this product a little over a month ago and was very excited to test out all of the features and dive into my first smart watch. Once it arrived, I dove into learning how the watch worked. I immediately was in shock with how much the screen seemed to lag to the touch and was somewhat hard to navigate for a first time user. Many things seemed to be in awkward locations and difficult to locate. After around 4 hours of messing with the watch and having to watch videos on how to navigate the watch, I finally had the watch to my liking; however, I was still experiencing lag to the touch and the interface just seemed slow. Many things seemed to be in awkward locations and difficult to locate. After around 4 hours of messing with the watch and having to watch videos on how to navigate the watch, I finally had the watch to my liking; however, I was still experiencing lag to the touch and the interface just seemed slow. I go to the gym every day and was hoping to keep track of some of my workout statistics, but some of the data never changed from when I was sitting at my dest earlier that day to when I started working out such as: the heart rate monitor, calories burnt, and the O2 monitoring. Another dislike I have is with the lack of changeable options on the watch face to reflect data. With one of the faces with a dial and 5 different data options, only select options were able to be shown for the bottom 2 data readings and bottom data reading. I had the watch for about 3 weeks and decided I had had enough with the watch and was getting very aggravated with the inconveniences and unresponsiveness of the watch. I disliked it so much I got rid of it before I even took it golfing (you know, the main selling point). I did mess with the golf side of it away from the course and I was not able to enter a score from the watch, which I thought would make sense as now your using your watch to be a course guide/range finder. If I have to enter my score on my phone, I may as well use an app that allows me to have my phone be the range finder and enter the score with ease (there are free options on Apple and Android that are great). One last negative I have is with the screen itself. When outdoors, one of the huge advantages of an OLED screen is to be able to see the screen significantly better than the LCD screens. However, with this watch, as once I am doing anything physical, the screen dims as though it is overheating and is extremely hard to see, even in cloudy weather. I would always have to turn away from the sun and use my other hand to block out as much light as possible in order to read anything. As I said before I never actually go to take this watch golfing, but I know this would be one of the most annoying things to do when I know that this is said to do the opposite. For the amount I paid for this watch, I feel this watch should be much better in the previously listed aspects and one the same level as other top smart watch manufactures. I have now gotten a cheaper, more user friendly, less laggy, and seemingly more intuitive watch watch that has many of the same features of this watch. I highly suggest looking somewhere for a watch like this and especially for the price.

Coming from a Garmin Venu 2 Plus into this more golf-oriented watch, i was very pleased with the build quality, screen size and clarity and the overall fit and function. This watch basically had everything I previously used from my Venu 2 Plus, but with a MUCH more robust golf focus and functionality. I've only had a chance to test on course once, and that was at a local par 3, but it worked amazingly that first round. Like others have reported with other S70's and other models of golf-focused watches, the one place where it does need a teensy bit of help is with short and "lightly" hit chip shots and putts in terms of gauging distance and ball position. So if you really go full geek and care about logging every single shot, definitely going to need to invest a little in the Garmin C10 sensors for your pitching/chipping and putting clubs. I got the starter kit with three CT10 sensors and added one to my sand wedge which is my primary chipping/pitching club for most shots 40 yards or less where you wouldn't take beyond a half swing (which is about where the watch struggles to pick up the swing and ball strike) and then added the other to my putter. Haven't yet tested on course, but the pairing of the two sensors to the watch was a snap. Looking forward to seeing how well it all works my next full round which will actually be in about 5 days. I did also buy a few extra watch bands, the Garmin QuickFit 22 versions in silicone. Haven't played with swapping those out yet, but seems like it'll be a snap when I want to color things up a bit. Overall, super happy with my purchase. This watch really stands out and I love the unique color-way of this TaylorMade branded model.

I wanted the S70s enhanced features, improved graphics, much greater memory, and (alleged) longer battery life. The reason that I say "alleged" when it comes to battery life, that doesn't seem to be true, at least not for the way that I use the S70, which includes for monitoring sleep, heart rate, exercise and training activities, etc. in addition to use on the golf course. In addition, there are some "quirks" to this model that I didn't see with the S62 -- probably because the Approach S70 is loaded with so many additional "bells and whistles". It is forever "disconnecting" from being linked with my smartphone where the Garmin app is loaded (you basically must have the watch within a couple of feet of the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max to maintain the connection).
