Our favorite delightful cooperative board game “Outfoxed" was given by our friends for our son’s birthday. The idea is that players work together to solve a mystery. It's perfect for families and groups, offering engaging gameplay and charming artwork. With its simple rules and quick playtime, it's a great choice for game nights. Plus, the theme of detective foxes adds a fun twist to the deduction genre. Overall, it's a fantastic choice for both kids and adults looking for a light-hearted yet challenging game experience.

Wonderful game! My daughter loves this game, it's fun, funny and autumnal. Adaptation for children from 5 years old. An excellent option for spending quality time with your family. We love to play this game on rainy days. It is very cozy and most importantly you play together against the fox. Everyone becomes one team, which makes this game even more interesting and exciting🤩

Outfoxed is like a combination of Guess Who and Clue, but played as a team instead of competitively. You're up against a fox who moves down a set path any time one of you fails a dice roll. You take turns finding clues and uncovering items of clothing to help identity the fox thief from a selection of suspect cards. As you pick up more clues on the board, suspects slowly get removed until you can make a guess - but get it wrong and the fox wins! Our 4 year old son really enjoys it and we like it too. My only complaint is that I wish there were more red herring clothing items, more suspect cards with duplicate items or some alternative map layouts. Minor complaints in an otherwise great game.

Excellent for family with young kids!

Bought this for my husband, five-year-old, three-year-old, and I to play. It is super fun, instructions are easy, and everyone in the family could follow along. Teaches memory skills and deductive reasoning. Really happy I made this purchase!

Fun for children and adults alike!

My grandchildren, ages 5-10, love this game. It’s a cooperative game that has all players work together to find the “Suspect”, which is nice if you have a competitive personality in the group. Fun, colorful and enjoyed by all!

I purchased this as a gift for my 5 year old nephew. He loves it! We have had a lot of fun playing it together. It’s easy to learn and fun to play but it also teaches some good basic critical thinking skills. It has lots of replay value. I highly recommend it!

Fun game to play if you like figuring out who did it. A good game to work together. Quite easy so more for the younger players. Easy to learn how to play. A good memory is also required as you have to remember the clues but you can recheck if you forget so it's no big deal.

Outstanding Game of Memory and Deduction!
15 April 2016

This is seriously the most fun kids game I've played with our kids in a long time. It's an incredibly clever game that teaches mad deduction and memory skills. We've played it many times with our kids, and it has yet to get old. The replay value is very high as each game is different. It's almost like a kids version of Clue.Outfoxed is a cooperative game where each player is a detective working together to catch the sneaky fox who stole a pie. There are 16 suspects placed around the board face down. Each turn, a player may choose to search for a clue (if she lands on a paw print) or reveal suspects. If revealing suspects, she turns over two of the 16 suspects which then exposes certain characteristics of that suspect. Searching for a clue is the fan favorite. If revealing suspects, she turns over two of the 16 suspects which then exposes certain characteristics of that suspect. Searching for a clue is the fan favorite. You get to place a clue marker into the super cool decoder. It then tells you whether the thief is wearing that particular item like a monocle, an umbrella, a scarf, a bag, and more. If you have enough information to rule out any of the visible suspects, you get rid of them and are that much closer to figuring out who the real culprit is!The element of luck comes into play when you need to match all three dice to the declared action you plan to take. If you don't roll well, the fox gets closer to his escape hatch. If he escapes, everyone loses! This game is great at teaching kids memory and deduction. When we were first teaching our kids, whenever they would expose a new clue, we would say, "Is the thief wearing gloves?" (based on the decoder results), then, "Is Mary wearing gloves?" (based on an exposed suspect), followed up with, "Then can Mary be the thief?" They would answer each question with a yes or no which led them down a basic, three-step deduction sequence. Pretty quickly, we could just say, "Okay, what do you need to do?" And they would either leave the suspect or get rid of the suspect depending on the clue. There's a fun game we like to play at parties where each person draws the name of a different person in the room. You then have to remember each "new" name to strategically get three people on your team into the designated winner spots. It is really hard playing consecutive games because you have to wipe your short-term memory clean and start over each game because everyone's fake names are different. I found that to be the case on a much smaller scale with Outfoxed. For the first portion of a second or third game, our kids would often give clue answers from the previous game because that's what they had downloaded into their memory bank. However, while this presented a small challenge, challenges are how kids learn and develop, especially when it comes to memory.Overall, I give Outfoxed a very high 8.5 as a family game that is fun, that teaches skills, that is interactive and cooperative, and that has a very high replay value. As a very random side note, I like how Gamewright has you choose who goes first. Outfoxed says the person who last ate pie goes first. I've seen others that say the person who last played tag or whoever most recently used dental floss. Adults may see this as silly, but kids love it!

Very easy to learn and fun for all ages.

The game goes like this:Players take turns rolling three dice. When rolling the dice, you must announce whether you're going for "clues" or "suspects." Clues are indicated by paws (1 or 2), while suspects are eyes. You have three rolls to land all the dice on paws (if you said "clues") or eyes (if you said "suspects").If you say "suspect" and get three eyes, you get to uncover two "suspects" arranged around the edge of the board. The suspects are foxes each with their own unique features to discern them from all of the others. If you say "clues" and get all feet, you get to move 3-6 spaces (depends on how many paws you got) to reach a clue. (After eight successful suspect reveals, you can only do clues since they're all exposed.)When you say "clues" or "suspects," you HAVE to commit to it. For example, if you say "clues" and roll three eyes, you MUST reroll all of them.If you get a clue (obtained by reaching the paws scattered around the map), you take a clue bubble and place it in the decoder. You then slide the card out to reveal it and see what color you get.If the circle is white, then the culprit does NOT have that item. If it's green, they DO. For example, if you draw an umbrella and you get a white circle, then the culprit does NOT have an umbrella. Every exposed suspect who DOES have an umbrella is cleared from the list of suspects; remove them from the board. If, after three turns, you do not get all "clues" or "suspects," the fox moves three spaces down the sidewalk. If all players collectively fail enough times, the fox escapes to its hole and you lose! (You may also lose if you try to guess too early and get it wrong.)The goal of the game is to figure out the culprit by uncovering suspects and clues until you either narrow it down to one fox OR get three green clues (which narrows it down to one by default). Overall, this is a simple and fun game for people who find Clue to be too confusing. The only problem is that it's too easy; however, that can be easily remedied by not putting the fox at the start. Try putting them halfway across the board at the start instead for a greater challenge!
