Was struggling to get my 16months old Malinois with high prey drive above the 80% recall threshold without using an E-collar.I was skeptical at first but figured a $12 investment was worth the try.Wow - Within 2 days of using the whistle we achieved a 100% recall. My only regret was not to buy a second one - this time with a lanyard.

This is a perfect little whistle to stuff in my upper PFD pocket. I bought a small locking carabiner and water-resistant cording, also purchased at REI, to tie to the whistle and carabiner to the zipper handle of the pocket below it, so it is easily accessible if needed. Comes with standard instructions on the meaning of one, two or 3 whistle sounds. It would be nice if those were laminated. But then the product would probably not be as inexpensive.

The "Blazin' Blue" color is not the tealish color of the picture. It is a true blue somewhere betweena royal blue and a navy. If you are trying to match the color of other equipment keep this in mind. If you don't care about color this thing is exactly what it is, a whistle. It works.

A+Great product at a great price. I am very happy with the purchase for my daughter. She needed the whistle for swimming and the price is very good compared to the competition. Good work Canadian tire.
Tough, loud, and simple. Just what is needed to grab attention and cut through noise. Does take blowing with some force to consistently achieve a strong whistling sound.
This whistle works like a charm, loud and annoying! You can hear this sucker at a great distance! Give this bad boy to a kid and you will know their exact location in seconds! I don't recommend letting them do a test drive of this whistle in front of you. Highly recommend
This is the product I bought my daughter for her first lifeguard job this summer. The whistle isn’t even loud enough for the swimmers to hear. We had to go out and buy another whistle for her to use.
I have always loved the fox 40 whistle. It’s the whistle referees use and lifeguards too. Fox 40s are loud and durable. They don’t contain a pea which can get wet, so your sound remains consistent on a fox 40. I highly recommend it.
No seriously, it’s a perfect pea-less whistle. A classic for referees for decades. Still works in the pouring rain. Durable enough to hang off a pack but not too expensive to be concerned if it gets snagged off. Small, lightweight, great colour options.
I really like the break away lanyard. i never had one of these, but should, as a roller derby referee. It's weird though, even though it says it's a Fox 40 whistle, it doesn't feel as quality as my other one. not having hte soft mouth piece is probably a big part of it.
