I got this to replace my Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 1st Generation. The jump in quality is remarkable in every area, and the included software (Focusrite Control) is a lot more user friendly than Mix Control, which I have not had a good relationship with over the past 6 years. After months of searching for something compatible with my M1 MAC, and a bad experience with a rival interface, this the one for me. Setup was relatively painless and so far it is reliable and sounds amazing. I love it.

Sounds good, works well.Has less physical switches/buttons for settings than I would like, opting to put most of them in software. Can't run at 192kHz and use the mixer which disappointed me slightly, but it's not an issue at all for me.I love the software mixer, it's very flexible with setting exactly what inputs go to what outputs.I did manage to get the software into a state where the interface would not output any audio, and had to do a factory reset on it, so it could be a bit more stable, but it's been pretty solid for everything I've needed it for so far. It's also very pretty, which is a nice little bonus.

This unit has met my expectations so far, flexible routing options and the preamps sound great, especially when you have been working with the Scarlett range; this is definitely a noticeable upgrade.

All set up in my home studio within half an hour. Down loaded manuals to double check setup, cables & computer, already own a Saffire Pro 40 for many years so just swapped cables over and away we go. Focusrite Control interface on computer a lot easier to use than older one for Po 40.Fantastic sound.
This thing is AMAZING! Latency is a thing of the past for me - lowest lag of any interface out there! Clarett is the only line of interfaces I plan on using from now on. They have the usual Focusrite level of quality, build and durability (plus production-ready preamps), but it's their fast Thunderbolt connection that produces record-low latency - amazing for studio tracking, livelooping, and using tons of plugins without sacrificing performance. Latency is the bottleneck of any studio setup, so this thing is indispensable nowadays. I've had it for 4 years now and it's just as good as it was when I bought it. It's one of my top 3 favorite pieces of gear!
Got my edrums and guitar rig hooked up to the rear ports, 5-8 and let 'er rip. Seemed to be enough gain going into a console, and Reaper, as well as the powered monitors I have (7 yo Focal Solo 6's). However, headphone output is terrible, and I mean, embarrassing. If you plan to use these with any cans other than 32 Ohm models, run far away. I can barely hear the headphone output using my Beyer DT880s 600 ohms units. Meanwhile, even my lowly edrum module and guitar processor can easily power these cans. There's no excuse for such poor performance these days. Everyone has ICs capable of driving even the most difficult phase angles on headphones, and headphones are essential for recording. When I contacted them I was told to buy a headphone amplifier. Shame on ... MoreGot my edrums and guitar rig hooked up to the rear ports, 5-8 and let 'er rip. Shame on Focusrite for not advancing even into the 1990's...Bonus to them for getting the Win 10 drivers right though, installation was a breeze.Look for mine on Reverb shortly....
Snapped this up on the Black Friday deal.Upgraded from a Scarlett 2i4 gen 2 as I needed more inputs.I’m extremely pleased with the device, lots of new features over the Scarlett. Special mention goes to the ‘Air’ mode which sounds absolutely amazing when recording vocals or anything you want to cut through the mix.If I need more than the 8 availableInputs, I can use an ADAT connection for up to 18 inputs.Really low noise floor, and the Clarett has a power on/off switch which I think the Scarlett really did need!Highly recommend the Clarett
Easy to setup, run the on-screen mixer program. The default setup is good, with all inputs on and the outputs routed appropriately. Both the back panel outs and the headphones are setup from the beginning. Looking forward to recording and mixing with the higher quality audio of the Scarlett. The only con is the higher price, which is only a con if you don't actually use the higher quality.
