I bought this because I followed the big banner displayed on The Good Guys website that said there was 5 year warranty on Fisher & Paykel products if I bought now. I missed the fine print "below the fold" where it was hidden, which said the 5 year warranty is only on 'selected products'. The dishwasher seems fine, but the sales tactics to get me to choose this brand over others, with blatant digital advertising technique to put the bait where it is visible and the conditions where they are obscured, makes me wish I hadn't bought from these "Guys". Other than that poor experience, it seems to be a reasonable dishwasher for this price range, although I preferred the Siemens I purchased at a previous property, similar price and had an actual, honest, 5 year warranty.

I have bought Fisher & Paykel brand for many years because of the quality of the goods. However , thi dishwasher sadly doesnt measure up with previous machines purchased previously. The stacking shelves have too much plastic which means I cannot fill the dishwasher with as much and the utensils basket is not good as small things just fall through to the bottom of the dishwasher. The small basket are useless and the dishes are never dry after washing. I wouldnt recommend this machine.

Little noiser than expected. Haven't had a dishwasher for a few years but seems noisier than I'd expect. Interior seems well made. Hoses were juuuuuust long enough to fit. I guess they're a standard length but another 20cm would have helped. Love the cutlery tray. Can fit way more in without a basket.

Great value for money dishwasher. Looks good and does a good job. When we were looking it was difficult to find the information on how long each cycle ran for, our previous dishwasher had a great 30min cycle that did a great wash. We were pleased to find this dishwasher has the same fast cycle, takes 30min and does a great wash. Would recommend this product.
This is my second DW60FC1X1. My first one was left in the house we sold. I had to replace the old Westinghouse in the new house as it was terrible. I was looking at several brands and basing on reviews, prices, design, size and also the more expensive Fisher & Paykels. This particular model had everything we wanted and performed very well the last time and was a great price at Appliances Online, with free and quick delivery, so I ended going for the same model. I particular liked the size, looks, ease of use and the internal design with two cutlery spaces (bottom basket and top small cutlery tray), either of which can be removed. I have to say that it does not offer what the absolute top dishwashers offer ie. auto drying, auto door opening etc. but what it does offer is good performance, reliability, ease of use and flexibility at an affordable price. Let me add that even on a 30 minute cycle, this new one cleans better than the old replaced Westinghouse's 146 minute cycle.
I have only used the dishwasher once since installed. It is the exact model I had before only 6 years newer, so I know what a good result looks like. The problem at this point is that the dishes do not get dry - there is a lot of moisture on the door when the load is completed. There was an undue amount of plastic in the load for the first wash so I will do a load with NO plastic to see how it turns out. If still moisture I will avail myself of the insurance I purchased along with the machine and ask for someone to come look at it.
Really nice looking dishwasher and it does a really good job cleaning the dishes and has a pretty good layout for placing your dishes but the only thing I hate about it is that it doesnt really dry the dishes, our old one which was around 20 years old which cleaned the dishes well and dried them well was only replaced because it looked not so good ( broken handle ) . So $700 later I now have a stylish dishwasher that doesnt quite work as well as the last one ( In 20 years youd expect technology to get better) . Overall its a good dishwasher but I hate having to get tea towel out to dry all the dishes before putting them away even after leaving dishwasher open for hours but Ill get over it .
Yes it took us 5 weeks of waiting for the dishwasher to be delivered however it was well worth the wait.Its not complex at all, a very simple but effective design. Cleans the dishes well, is very quiet and also has a child lock feature which is awesome. We dont use the quick wash feature as I personally dont like them and want my dishes to be sanitised and cleaned correctly however the stand feature is just over an hour long anyway so its not a long wait and we put it on at the end of the night anyway.Absolutely recommend this brand of dishwasher and how durable it is.
While the F&P does a good job of cleaning dishes, the appliance leaves a lot to be desired. I have had mostly F&P appliances in my house over the years but this one is the most disappointing. 1. Water extraction is very poor, even when the extraction hose is lifted as high as it will go you are still left with water pooling in the filter area at the bottom which is not problematic but annoying. I have never seen this happen with any other dishwasher in the past, yet I am told it's generally normal by F&P support staff. Even my el cheapo no name brand dishwasher was better. 2. The amount of space inside is less than expected. Some larger dishes or pots would not fit in the dishwasher and allow room for the rotary water sprayer to function. Hopefully this review will assist others in making an informed decision when considering this model, considering I got this heavily discounted and I still feel it wasn't worth the money.
