Pros: I really like this Fisher and Paykel 10kg top loading washing machine. For many years I suffered with a front loader which took hours to complete a normal cycle, and locked immediately taking minutes to unlock mid-cycle, sometimes taking so long that the machine switched itself off before unlocking! Not so this wonderful front-loader. It only locks on some parts of the cycle, and unlocks within seconds if required. I LOVE that I can open the lid and toss in a forgotten item if necessary. And the cycle length is at least half the time of my previous machine - such a time saver! "Upgraded" to this from a Samsung which was nothing but an "attractive" machine with fancy selling points like jet wash, jet cycle, super extreme spin cycle bla bla bla. That unit lasted 4 years and was a nightmare when loads were unbalanced etc for much of that 4 years.This unit reminds me a lot like the washing machine mum and dad had. I have been using Fisher & Paykel top load washing machines for 25 years now. I upgraded to a 10kg machine, although my 10 year old 8.5kg machine is still running perfectly. I just wanted the bigger size to be able to wash blankets etc. to save going to the laundromat. This latest model Fisher & Paykel is fantastic. The large 10kg load size allows me to wash all my sheets, protectors etc in the one load, rather than having to do 2 loads in my smaller machine. It is easy to operate and it is SO quiet! It leaves my washing clean & fresh and the spin cycle takes so much water out, it is incredible. I like the delay start feature too. I am very impressed with this machine and highly recommend it. Bought this a week ago and so far done 7 loads. Where do I start with this machine!Auto water level only barley covers the clothes to wash. Washing comes out dirty still.I tried to select my own level, but only high seems to give a decent level of water to wash clothes nicely. Medium is pretty much the low level. Nothing in between.The machine takes about 12 minutes just to fill. It spends too much time trying to sense the clothes and water level. Just fill the machine will you! Out of a 40 minute wash it spends most of its time sensing and filling to wash and rinse. Only spends half the wash time actually washing. The spin rinse is useless.The agitator does a one and a half revolutions back and forward. Also sometimes get lint and washing powder still on the clothes. Clothes get caught up in the agitator fins due to the design, especially clothes that have cords or straps. Recently one of the fins has broken off, and after reading other reviews seems to be a common problem. And last of all, my machine has stopped working all together. Wont start at all, no lights light up. I suspect its an electrical fault. For a 10kg machine it does not appear 'too big' in a reasonable size laundry. The machine is easy to set up with a multiplicity of pre-programmed options. Just set and forget.One glaring negative relates to the rather cumbersome and crude manner in which the washing powder/liquid is added to every wash. You have to manually detach a rather oversized dispenser before adding liquid/powder and then reattach securely the same dispenser which is made more difficult because it is made up of two separate component parts. Why make an essential part of washing so difficult? You can of course get round this issue by simply adding the powder/liquid directly on to the washing and just adding softener to the top of the dispenser without actually removing it.

After 4.8 years passed, this machine started to lose balance and it started to jump, stop, etc. I don't recommend this washing machine.
