My cat enjoys this food as part of a rotation or mixed with other foods. The consistency is very dense, and it has some solidified fatty bits in the broth, which may deter some cats, but I blend it up and my cat doesn't mind at all. Pureeing it into an even consistency before serving may help some cats enjoy this food more. When saving leftovers in the refrigerator, this food gets VERY solid, so I recommend mixing with warm water or broth before serving if it's been chilled. Other than the texture requiring some extra steps to become palatable to my cat, this food is excellent quality and the flavor seems appealing to her. I use this as a permanent part of my cat's protein rotation because it's hard to find food that uses just beef.

I have fed my 14 year old cat a grain free diet and the best food I can find (for dry kibble I like Young Again) all of her life and never got her addicted to the commercial cat foods which would be the equivalent of us living off McDonald's. So she took to this immediately and absolutely loves it. I rescued a kitten out of my backyard who was starving and nursed her back to health using homemade bone broth and this food. She is super healthy and happy and both are in love with it. I think if you're having trouble converting from let's say, fancy feast, you'll have to maybe mix with the food you've been feeding before and GRADUALLY change them over. If you think it's expensive think about how much money you will save with vet bills. My 14-year-old has never been to the vet for any issues. She's happy and healthy. I've also raised dogs and another couple of cats unhealthy food and they all lived long, disease free lives.
Reading the list of ingredients on the can - or on a cat food review website, which is what I did before buying this product - you'd be forgiven for thinking: "How could my cat NOT like this? If I were a cat, I'd sell my human for a lifetime supply of this stuff!" Alas, such is the inscrutability of cats. (You probably know this, already... I mean, you ARE reading a review of CAT FOOD, for cryin' out loud.) It's a bit pricey per ounce, but again, the ingredients suggest to the Human Food Dispensing Machine (me) that cat would love this. But, Fancy Feast Mousses (mices?) are twice as popular with His Lordship.
My beautiful little kitty Mia absolutely loves the Feline Natural Beef. She also loves the Lamb and Chicken flavor as well. Before I discovered Feline Natural she would not eat any moist food made for carnivores like her. Now she runs to her bowl to eat. Thank you for your great product and awesome customer service!
My cats really disliked this. Cats can be picky not the product’s fault. I was looking for a healthy wet option this seemed like clean ingredients. My rating comes from the packaging made me think it was a larger ounce can. Beware that there is so much water that they put in that you’re not really getting that much actual food. I’ve never had a can food use so much liquid. You paying for a lot of water and very little food for the price.
Best quality wet food you can give your cat! The ingredients are great and my cats love it. My older one took a bit of time to get used to better quality food like this compared to other ones with fillers and flavourings, but my new kitten actually prefers the feline natural. She has great taste lol! The beef and hoki is the softest/most crumbly texture out of all of them so I recommend it for cats that prefer softer food. For me it’s a bit pricey to feed this to 2 cats that eat 1 can each per day, but it’s worth it! My older cat is suspected to have IBD, but his symptoms have almost completely subsided since putting him onto this food. Overall would highly recommend if you want the best for your kitty! :)
Most interesting thing happened today when I offered this food. The beef flavor pate is on the dryer side, with a bit of thick gravy. It smells and looks good to me (i bought the soft package beef and hoki flavored pate before, and that has a stronger green mussel/seafood smell. This beef flavor does not smell that strong and smells like meat).I have two cats, both on the pickier side. One went for this food immediately. while the other one refused to touch it, even if I bring a piece close to his mouth with my hand (this method works for a lot of cans that he didn’t like). The one that ate the food seem to absolutely love it. She finished her portion and went for the untouched portion for her brother. But 15mins later, maybe cuz he’s super hungry, I caught my other cat eating this food. And seemed to be okay with the taste????I love feline natural since it has almost the best ingredient list among all the cat foods I know: no peas, beans, gums for thickening. my cats love most of the flavors but the beef ones are more of a hit or miss.But chewy has very generous return policy so I guess it encouraged me to try?
My 14 yr old Ragdoll LOVES this flavor! He's usually pretty picky at trying new foods, but he took to this right away. I want my cat to have the best quality protien available, without gums, soy, grains, legumes. Of all the cat foods available on the market, Feline Natural offers the most of what I expect.
