Well engineered & a joy to use I like my murkur razor but this is something else. The only thing I would say don't expect to save money buying from Japan as taxes are quite high but the product is top notch A.WFaulkner.

This is a SPECTACULAR razor. It is very mild compared to my very nice stainless steel OUTLAW by Executive Shaving. The Feather makes the Outlaw look Aggressive. The Feather is very mild and you can get very close and along the grove of the upper lip. Moreover, you can get very close to the lip. I would find that hard with the Outlaw. The Feather is also easier to shave the bottom and rounded portion of the chin. The Outlaw is better at shaving the flat surfaces of the side of the face. The Feather Razor is Spectacular and very mild. Coupled with the Farther Blade it gives a remarkable shave.

I have owned and used the top of the line Murker shaving tools for over 25yrs. This precision Japanese instrument is my far a better product to wield...I only wish I had found it sooner.

Well made and high quality safety razor. The AS-D2 gives an excellent and efficient shave. It is a shaver you'll keep for life.
I have been searching for a great razor and this is it. Paired with a Feather blade the AS-D2 is so smooth and gives me that best shave that I have had in quite awhile.
Ive had my eye on the Feather AS-D2 for a while. Ive enjoyed shaving with a vintage Gillette Tech for years. I finally decided to treat myself after a year of compliance with Covid-19 restrictions. Until one has this razor in ones hand and shaves with it, one simply can not understand how good it is.
