Good hammer for the money

Ultra Light and hits like a 20 ounce, broke my first one and bought a second if that says anything. It’s No stiletto but it’s a great hammer for the money

Great hammer

Does the job perfectly. After being a tradesman for over twenty years I have arthritis in my joints.This hammer is lighter with the same power and being a dead blow hammer helps with bounce back and helps with joint pain

Love this hammer and so glad I purchased it. My elbow really appreciates it too. This thing is light. Hits very well and absorbs all of the shock. I definitely recommend it.

Nice work Estwing

Good product. Very light, well balanced. The short claw works well and the handle has good grip. My only wish is that I could change the face out like the titanium hammers on the market. Other wise this is a great scaffold hammer for those who don't want to pay 180 dollars on the other brand.

I like the hammer quite a bit, easy to swing all day while lessening the shock wave that travels though your arm and up into your shoulder and believe me that's a good thing, all while striking with the force of a 22 oz. hammer. the only thing I'm not crazy about is the grip

Too much for a hammer?

NO - I'm a builder / roofer so use hammers all day every day. This thing is typical Estwing quality and looks pretty cool too. It doesn't feel that different from other top quality hammers - anything 50+ gives you that high head speed feel - the difference with this one is the first strike, you tap in to start the nail and it's half done! The head accelerates much more quickly that anything else, therefore the striking force for any given input appears to be much higher than anything else. I've previously owned (and loved) a titanium headed carbon fibre hammer from America which felt light but hit hard, it was great for framing, but it hadn't got enough feel for the finesse needed for slating - it was a bit 'All or Nothing' This Estwing is VERY different - you can ... MoreNO - I'm a builder / roofer so use hammers all day every day. The best thing is that at the end of a days roofing, having driven in 1000's of slate nails, you don't feel it in your forearms. Very clever technology and THE BEST balance hammer I've ever owned (I've probably got 20 in the garage!) Well worth the enormous cost - but you'll probably have to keep it with you at all times on-site!
