I have tried different mascaras for over my 30 years of wearing makeup. This mascara does exactly whatever you want it to do. If you like thin lashes then you use a lash comb after application. If you are like me and prefer thick, dramatic lush lashes then use a primer before applying this mascara. It does not flake or transfer onto my hooded, old lady upper eye bags no matter how much moisturizing eye cream I use before application.

The only mascara I'll wear! I'm off a - ahem! - mature age, and my eyelashes have seen thicker days. All I can say is Sumptuous Extreme Mascara to the rescue! Doesn't smudge, lasts all day and comes off easily with make up remover wipes or plain ol' soap and water. Oh! ...and the most important part? This mascara really DOES give you lush and long looking thick eyelashes! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been buying this mascara for quite a while now and it has been great, making my lashes longer and fuller very quickly without a lot of brush strokes. Recently, starting with this purchase something was different. It seemed dry and unless I spent a lot of time going over and over my lashes it barely made a difference. I returned this to the Macy’s store and they replaced it. I was very disappointed when the same thing happened with the new one! I don’t know why this is happening, but I don’t think I will purchase another one, not at this time anyway.

Excellent mascara. I have blonde eyelashes and this mascara is just what I need to give me the perfect lashes that I want. It thickens them too after applying a second coat. I have used the lash primer too and this has a curved brush. I normally use an Estee Lauder lash thickener that is white but this lash primer is black. I don't think this lash primer is as good as the normal one I use but it came as a package. Great price for both and I'm very pleased
I had eyelash extensions and my lashes were very damaged. It's taken almost 4 months for them to grow out and I've always struggled to find a good mascara. This mascara is one of the best I've ever used. It makes my lashes full, adds length and you can apply more then one layer without it drying too quickly. I've used it for a few weeks now and the only thing I've noticed is it flakes a tiny bit. Like you may find a black spec or 2 on your face. Other then that it's perfect. You should definitely give this one a try :)
I used and loved Sumptuous Knockout for years. When it was discontinued, I started buying Extreme and it's fine. I always have to wipe the excess off the brush on the bottle, it does tend to melt throughout the day (which Knockout never did), but it does last a long n time. Honestly though, if I could find a dupe for Knockout or buy Knockout again, I totally would. I love Estée Lauder makeup, especially their eye products because they usually last on my oily skin and in my humid climate. And like I said, this mascara is fine, it goes on beautifully, comes off with makeup remover, but Knockout was just that much better. I wish they'd bring it back.
I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. It creates really nice, natural looking lashes. The brush tends to look like it's clumped with fibers, but it has never transferred clumps to my lashes. Instead, it does a great job of coating and separating each lash and adding length. For volume and drama, I still prefer Monsieur Big, but this a great everyday option. Easy to apply, stays all day, no flaking, and washes off easily with soap and water.
The mascara itself is okay, nothing special, but the ridiculous oversized brush makes it impossible to use. It might be okay for a young person with taut skin but for me, being an older lady whose skin is not as taut as it once was, I end up with more mascara on my eyelids than on my lashes. Why on earth is a premium brand like EL trying to compete with the cheap, faddy, gimmicky mascaras? I used to use More than Mascara and it was fabulous and I can't figure out why you'd discontinue such a brilliant product. In fact my whole make up collection used to be EL but sadly these days, the only product I can still get of my favourites is Double Wear foundation. I almost returned my first tube bc I HATED it initially, but I'm so glad I was too lazy and just kept it, because it's now my favorite of all time. It's a little wet upon first opening, but after a few uses it develops a better consistency and delivers the softest, fluffiest, dark, long, dense lashes with just a few swipes, but can be easily built to the most dramatic fringe of your dreams. It combs out easily if needed, and layers can be added later without getting all gross and tarantula-y. It never stings or burns my eyes like many mascaras do. I bought this mascara on the recommendation of the beauty stylist at the Estee Lauder counter at my local store. I am disappointed. It's very thick and hard to apply. It does not go on smoothly even with the primer I purchased to go with it. It requires a lot of extra time to separate the lashes once it's applied. I have used other Estee Lauder mascaras that I like much better. I wish I had returned this right away.
