I've never been a full-coverage foundation kind of girl. My skin is generally pretty good, so I don't really need full coverage 99% of the time, and I hate how obvious (imo most) foundations look. I used to use the double wear light and liked it, though I found it to be ever so slightly too high coverage for me. If you're looking for good coverage, move along, you won't like this! Don't expect this to cover up blemishes, dark circles, etc. - you'll need a concealer for that. But, the overall tone correction is great. If you have dry patches, it will cling to them a bit, but it's not super noticeable. I found this wore just as well as the double wear light - my forehead does look quite shiny at the end of the day, but that's just how my forehead is. It applies and blends really nicely with my sephora #56 brush. I roughly apply and spread it with my fingers first (to minimize product soaking into the brush) and then buff it in with the brush. Without a setting powder it will crease, but I found creasing to be extremely minimal with the kosas cloud set powder! It's definitely not mattifying enough imo for my forehead, but for the fine lines around your eyes and mouth, it's a perfect combination. Overall I really like this. I'm glad there are options out there for people who like sheer coverage! Don't hate on this product if you like good coverage - not everyone does! We light-coverage ladies need an option too :)

This foundation does not disappoint. For reference, I am a 38 year old woman living in an extreme climate. I have normal to dry skin depending on the season. My preferred application is with a damp sponge, and applied in small sections. I was skeptical because I don't usually like full coverage foundation. I don't mind a little bit of my natural skin showing through even if there is a little bit of redness. That being said it's clear to me that this foundation can be used for full coverage situations depending on the application. I forgot how much I loved this formula! I recently got a new bottle after a few years of opting for other brands and it may be better than I remember. I stopped buying it due to the color selection never quite fitting my skin tone. I’ve never had issues with it pilling or clumping, regardless of what I use below or on top of it.The finish is a natural matte which I love, especially in the summer. It can easily go full coverage and it does not move. I work 12 hour shifts and it lasts all day. I have dry to combination skin and I don’t find it gives me any problems, even in my dry areas. I love the natural look of the finish, which in my experience is rare for a product with this sort of coverage. While I wouldn’t describe it as light wearing, it looks and feels much lighter than would be expected for the coverage and effect that it gives.For reference I have very fair cool/neutral skin (In MAC I am N3 or NW10 depending on the product & time of year. I also wear Nars oslo and Dior CR0/CR1) - my recent purchase was the shade cool bone (1C1), after being color matched using the phone app in store. I will say the undertone of the 1C1 is very close, it’s just the slightest bit dark, which is fairly easily fixed by mixing in a lightening color corrector. I find this preferable to my previous shade of shell which had a closer match in terms of lightness, but leaned too yellow for my undertone.Highly recommend!

This is not my favorite foundation, but it is workable. My HG foundation is the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk. Looks natural, non-cakey, and gives my skin such a beautiful glow. However it is EXPENSIVE and not super durable under hot weather. Luckily this foundation was part of a half-off sale and I decided to give this a try. The shade finder told me Warm Vanilla was my closest match, though when I got it it was just tad too light. First time I used it was with a silicone primer and no powder on top. It had great full coverage, was transfer-proof, and stayed matte all day. Unfortunately, it looked too cakey, other products did not sit well on top of it, and it accentuated the dry patches on my skin. For the record, I have combo skin that leans a little oily. Finally, I mixed it with a single pump of Missha BB cream that was a shade too dark and hydrated the heck out of my skin. I looked FLAWLESS. The darker bb cream managed to make the foundation look like my perfect match. A patron at work even complimented on how my skin looked like porcelain! Now I can't say I would buy this again however there is some potential in this. I wish I could buy it for the half off price like I did before. The real test is to see how well it lasts in the humid summer heat, that's the only deciding factor that will convince me it's worth repurchasing.

Even though it says full coverage, I have found that I can build it to be as light or as full as I want. I feel that no brand of makeup will cover up breakouts or blemishes completely, but this one does a good job. Also, as someone with rosacea, it's the best coverage I've found to balance out my skin tone.2. I've never had issues with application, but it does dry/set quickly. I have never had any issues with it oxidizing, which can be challenging with combination/oily skin.

I never used foundation when i was younger because my skin was very good but now in my 50s I have some pigmentation from too much sun and late nights. this stuff was the first foundation I found recommended at the beauty counter and I loved it and used it for about 8 years now. it is oil free and feels very comfortable on top of a good slather of moisturiser without looking pancakey. my daughter in law envies how fast i can apply my foundation with a pooh sponge. she says it looks airbrushed.
