Great little level, much better than the 6" torpedo level I was using. This 12" level is a nice compromise when a 2 foot is too much and a 6" torpedo is too little. Magnetic strip holds good with the opposite "V" notch side having both a level and vari-pitch see through notch opening for the bubbles. The vari-pitch is in metric with increments of 10 units. Each unit is equal to 1/8" rise, so 20 is 1/4" and 30 is 3/8" etc. These two open notches for the bubbles in the "V" really come in handy and are worth getting the level just for this option. The cross vile and 45 deg. work good, the unit as a whole feels sturdy. I would be careful about nicking the magnetic strip but I always check my edges first before using. All in all a great level, well made, works well, ... MoreGreat little level, much better than the 6" torpedo level I was using. I wish I had this one when I was running emt as an electrician at a shipyard, it is so much better than the torpedo levels that were available back then the magnetic feature alone makes it perfect for that kind of work. It is light easy to read and if you are using a steel tool box it can attach to the outside of the box securely and be quickly available it is also small enough to fit my old tool pouch (just barely but it fits)

Nice little level for the tight places.I'd been looking for a decent quality small level for small jobs in tight places and this one just fit the bill. It fits easily into the open top toolbag I use for this and is very compact. The vials are easy to read and seem pretty solid. The angled one is nice if you have something on a 45 and want it perfect. The magnet is handy for stashing it or when using it on a metal surface. I like the fact that it is solidly built but very very lightweight due to the slimline design and aluminum frame. This makes it easy to use where you don't want to be handling a heavier one. It's a good little tool for small jobs.

The level is excellent. It is a small level and fits nicely in a tool bag. The markings are very clear and the dual bubble indicators are very precise. The bubbles are at 45 and square plumb, level and a graduated clear although small indicator. The side has a magnetic strip that is effective, but seems soft/fragile in a tool box with sharp tools. The magnetic grip is good in the quick testing that I have done. The opposite narrow edge has 2 top read windows for the level and varipitch bubble sight. There is a groove for pipe or cylindrical lines. The metric sub-graduations are great to see. There is no explanation about the vari pitch markings but about 3 mm or 1/8 inch rise in the 12 inch long level for each mark. This is a great level that I've used around the house, when regular-sized (larger) levels aren't practical. So far I've been using it to level the artwork on the walls, but I imagine it will certainly get more use over time. It's a great toolbox-size, and it also has a magnetic strip.I recommend this level for that tool box and/or kitchen drawer!
This is a great size level. I have and have had numerous levels throughout the years: torpedo levels, 2 foot, 4 foot and six foot levels but never one of this size. It is great for those jobs where a 2 foot level is too large and a torpedo level just seems inadequate. Built well with a magnetic strip on one side and pipe groove on the other. The blue tinted vials are vials are a welcome change. I also like the degree band vial although I haven't put that to use yet. Another plus- made in the USA. Check it out. It may be just what you need.
This is an excellent product. It is a good size. We just used it to level my new range from Home Depot. The fact that it is magnetic is a real plus. There are many ways to level almost everything. I think the strong magnet on it really sets it apart from other levels. I do have other levels with magnets but they are not as strong as this one So I feel it is suited for almost any DIY job around the house.
This level is perfect for getting in small places where a 9" torpedo would be too small, and I find it to be very useful doing framing, remodeling, trim work etc. Some spots you run into, a 2' level might just be a little too big, this is the go-to level. It is a little bit large to keep in your tool belt so I'd probably recommend the 10" model. One of the best parts about this level is the ability to use it as a straight edge. A lot of torpedo levels taper in towards the end, not allowing you to scribe a nice straight pencil line using the level, or marking the end of the level top or bottom. This level is perfect for that. It feels durable and well made, feels like it will last a long time.
Strong and compact, great magnetic power and precise increments for setting anything up level or angled. Great for trips away in our caravan and perfect for little metal projects too.
Wow, this Metric Magnetic Tool Box level has been so handy to use lately. I've extended our garage and used it to install various pieces of wood, as well as storage racks. It has saved a tremendous amount of time and energy because it is magnetic and easy to see and easy to read. I wish I had one of these a long time ago, but it will come in very handy for future projects.
