Terrible product. After 2nd use I bought rinse aid and salt but still awful , then bought dishwasher cleaner which still didn’t help so very expensive try at being eco ! Glasses, Pan, plates, cutlery all horrible and I’ve tried washing them by hand but can,t get the film off. Feels as though the surface / glazing has been taken off.Produced for a Belgian company so not much good complaining to them !

Had been using these for some time with no problem. BUT for last few months the dishwasher left dried-on black bits inside mugs, bowls etc., which needed soaking & hand-washing every morning.Eventually, I bought another brand (sadly not organic & with a “don’t handle” warning). The problem immediately disappeared.

I regularly use dishwasher tablets and I found that the Ecover dishwasher classic tablets worked brilliantly. The tablets are individually wrapped, and I was happy to see the ingredients are plant based. They were easy to use and the box stores nicely in my cupboard. The packaging stood out for me, it is stylish and bold, and I was very happy to find out that it is fully recyclable. After using these dishwasher tablets, my dishes came out looking sparkling clean and there was no residue left. The tablets provided a good clean and left no smears in both a long and a short cycle. There was also not a strong smell after cleaning, and it provided an excellent finish. We are just two people and have a slimline dishwasher. Even with a bowl of dried on porridge, we find half an Ecover tablet on the Eco setting works perfectly. Hopefully this product is kinder to the environment especially using the minimum amount needed. The tablets break in half easily in the packaging.
I am very pleased with Ecover classic dishtablets! First and foremost, they get my dishes clean! I have used a number of different brands over the years and found other brands don't always remove tea stains from mugs, but Ecover always does. I was impressed with the packaging, they come in a cardboard box which fits nicely under the sink and can be recycled when finished. The actual tablets stay together when opening (I have had other brands crumble and make a mess when trying to open the individual plastic packs). I gave four and not five stars as it would be good if the plastic packs were a more eco friendly material. The tablets smell very nice and work effectively. Is ideal for the bacterial system of waste disposal as we are not on the mains. It does not disrupt the natural work of the bacteria. It washes very well and glasses, etc., come out sparkling, even on the eco wash that we use. The actual product was very well priced and the best value that I had seen. Overall very pleased with the prouct and purchase.
This cleans just as well as all other more known brands (Finish and Fairy specifically) and leaves no awful smell or taste like other tablets did. Also, for those that complain about the plastic, maybe perhaps individually wrapping it in very thin plastic uses less plastic than storing the whole lot in a thick plastic bag ? Just a thought! Because it doesnt make sense for a company with an eco moto to be brandishing plastic left right and center.
We were looking for a classic option because we don'Ă„Ă´t need the salt. There wasn'Ă„Ă´t much to choose from and we were sceptical of the eco option but these are excellent. They have so far out performed the well-known all in one brands which did occasionally leave dirt. These so far have not and we will continue to buy these.
Recommend these have used for years and as long as your machine is in good order and set up right and maintained (so many people seem to ignore the basics and blame the tablet!) then they do the job beautifully. However the price has shot up in recent weeks and it feels like a LOT now for 25 tabs, £6.50. Argh
