e.l.f. Daily Hydration Moisturizer, 2.53 fl oz

I was a little skeptical in trying the Elf Holy Hydration Hydro-Gel Moisturizer but for the price I decided to go ahead and get it. Well I am beyond happy with this and it exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I definitely underestimated Elf on this one. This is my new favorite moisturizer and I have tried sooo many different kinds. This one is better than one of my LaRoche moisturizers. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and hydrated and it doesn’t leave any kind of oily feeling, it smells really good and it doesn’t feel like a heavy layer on your face. It just feels perfect and it lasts, it keeps my face moisturized and doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily even later in the day. I give this a 10/10!!! I recommend this everyone!!! Actually pleasantly shocked!

First off, I'm pleasantly shocked at this moisturizer and how well it worked with my skin type, I have sensitive and oily combination skin and this seems to do the trick. I do confess, I use earth harbor aurora drops or ampoule and I've used three drops with two pumps of the elf moisturizer and it's my new to go combo. It plays well with all of my eye products too. I always use either the yerba mate eye gel &/or the Tony moly plumpkin eye cream. I've used it with drugstore moisturizers for the under eye as well and it works I've never used the elf under eye cream hopefully I can pick that up next and see how it works with this moisturizer. It fades fast & seems to dry down into the skin very nicely! Like I said I'm very pleasantly surprised but I keep seeing comments about how the pump is breaking and I'm praying that mine holds up I take good care of my products and don't travel with them so I think it should be fine just sitting on my vanity. It does have a light fragrance but it dissipates and in my opinion just using this moisturizer on its own three pumps did my entire face and neck anymore it's too much and turns my skin a little greasy LOL. For eight dollars though, it's a fabulous moisturizer for every day and even for the evening to sleep in. I will definitely keep re-purchasing ; ) ELF nailed it again 💪👏

Comedogenic

So. Pretty disappointed. I have oily skin - this product states that it is good for all skin types. It feels nice on the skin and gives a good glow, very hydrating. BUT after using it for 2 weeks, my skin got extremely congested. Big and small bumps on the surface and deep in my skin. Then I started to get huge pustule acne. I hadn’t had acne like that since I was a teen. Turns out, one of the first ingredients on the list is shea butter. Shea butter is comedogenic. Very comedogenic. No wonder my skin didn’t like it. It’s kind of on me because I didn’t research before getting it (really, the only time I didn’t research. I was just so excited). But also, it should not be marketed for all skin types. If you are acne prone, do not purchase this. Get he face cream instead.

Love love holy hydration line

I’m an aesthetician at 35 years I absolutely love the holy hydration moisturizer and serum. I couldn’t believe that for years I was using very very expensive cleansers moisturizer and serum’s. These products are excellent. The ingredients are very good. I was a little concerned with the orange peel, but it doesn’t bother my skin at all. I feel nice and hydrated. I have combination to dry skin and I’m 64 years old. I actually am using almost everything in elf now, I know they’re dupes of many expensive lines but I just love them. I also do weddings I do hair and make up and all I use this ELF products now! kudos guys great line. Would love to be a tester for this line

New Formula?

I've used the Daily Hydration Moisturizer exclusively for years and have never had a problem. There's new packaging, which made me nervous because historically, that means the ingredients changed but I gave it a try. I've used this for about 6 weeks and every single time, without fail, I end up with a pimple. I've used it alone, with foundation, with primer, without, etc. and the common denominator is the moisturizer. I wanted to keep trying it to see if maybe my hormones were off (and that's how much I relied on the original formula). It feels heavier than before and my skin doesn't do well with creams, so I wonder if that's the issue. Either way, this is a bummer. If your skin doesn't love creams, probably steer clear.

Not what I expected but not in a great way...

Ok so I really wanted a new moisturizer and I was looking at a very expensive brand. I looked for some dupes and one was the hydro gel moisturizer. I really wanted to get that one but I bought this one instead for more of a daily moisturizer. I wouldn't say this moisturizer is terrible, it just wasn't great. I did use it on dry and clean skin and both were not good. It was kinda thick and not easily spreadable. It was kinda sticky and just felt like a thick layer of goo on my face, and did not absorbe at all. The "hydrated glow" was kinda greasy looking even though on the package it says "non-greasy and lightweight" which neither of those are true. The smell also was a bit off setting. This product REALLY helped my skin!

After dealing with a two year long depression and neglecting my skin, my face was absolutely terrible. Somehow it was oily and dry at the same time, acne prone, and flaking. When I started up skincare again, I wanted to go with a new routine with budget products and despite the mixed reviews, decided to give this product a go. I have noticed an immense difference in my skin after using it for one month daily. My skin is moisturized, has a healthy glow, and just FEELS better. I use the product very sparingly, maybe a pea sized worth amount before applying my make-up. It's fantastic!! The only downside is that it does make my skin a bit red when I first apply the product, as my skin is fairly sensitive to rubbing, but it does calm down. i had high hopes for this because i absolutely adore elf and there were so many good reviews. After using it for a week i noticed my face would become EXTREMELY irritated anytime i started to wash it, and then when i would put the moisturizer on i would get an intense burning sensation all ovr my face, as well as my face turning bright red. my skin also started to feel dryer the more i used it, to the point at least half of my face had dead and dry skin flaking off of it (and i of course tried so many different hydrating serums and oils and nothing helped). ive always had dry skin, but it hadnt felt this tight and dry and burnt in a long time.thats when i read the ingredients. i immediately knew what the problem was: niacinamide. literally why is this in a ... Morei had high hopes for this because i absolutely adore elf and there were so many good reviews.
