Handled like a new bike, well a new 45 year old bike. Made it a joy to ride in this year's DGR, with an 83 year old life long family friend.Only have ridden in fair weather and hope to keep it that way. Not my daily, but definitely would (and have) recommend to others with a classic bikes.

I have been using the Dunlop D402 tires on my Harley FLHTP Police Touring model since I purchased it new in 2007. Traction is excellent on these tires. I put hard miles on my bike and the tires hold up well. I had my rear tire go flat at high speed due to a bad valve stem and was able to drive the bike home. The sidewalls stayed rigid during the drive and after replacing the valve stem I was able to continue using the same tire until replacing due to normal wear. I definetly recommend the Dunlop Harley-Davidson D402 tires.

Mounted this tire on my 2006 Electra Glide for a trip from Missouri to Alaska and back. We rode in all weather conditions on this trip including low 40's up to 100+ temps. We had dry, wet, and even hail covered roads. Smooth concrete, chip and seal black top, metal grate decked bridges, wood decked bridges, potholes, frost heaves, hundreds of miles of gravel at a time, twisty back roads and lots of 80+ mph interstate travel. The tires performed perfectly. Even at 80 mph across South Dakota in the pouring rain for 6 hours! This tire works like it should with no fuss at all. 9k miles round trip and the tire is pretty much done. I could prob get another 1-2 out of the tire before it's completely shot, but I think the mileage is acceptable considering the bike was ... MoreMounted this tire on my 2006 Electra Glide for a trip from Missouri to Alaska and back. This tire has the more aggressive and 'biting' tread we need for the Airy Zona roadways with their zigging and zagging parallel cracks that open as much as two inches. I tend to run it a pound or two under recommended pressure, just to be sure the entire tire stays in contact with the roadway. So far it's what I was hoping for. 2007 Honda Shadow Aero 750.
Thanks for offering these HD stamped tires so I could replace what was on my 50 year old bike. These were more expensive but its what I needed for my 1970 Electra Glide. Havent used yet but they are going on later this week. Im sure they will perform fine.
These tires are inexpensive and will server you well on dry roads. I even feel pretty confident driving on wet roads in a straight line. They seemingly channel water well. But when you turn on wet pavement, you can feel them slide much too soon. I've never felt less confident as far as wet weather grip than I have with these on the front of my R1200GSA. I'll be replacing this soon (mid Nov) with a Metzeler Road Tec 01 or Michelin 5 Trail and then rate those. Late Fall, Winter and Spring are quite wet here in the Seattle area and I'm not going to keep this tire on during these next months.
I wanted to keep original HD branded tires on my 1970 Electra Glide and was glad that Dennis Kirk offered these. They are more expensive then many of the other tires but I didnt want to sacrifice originality so thanks for offering these. Havent really tried them out yet but Im sure they will perform fine
Up here these are the industry standard. good ballance of cost, life, handeling and weather (cold rain) reliability. Yes you can get better tires that won't last as long, and might not be on the shelf when you need one. If you do a lot of burnouts or only ride in the sun, you will never fully apricate these, and brand wont really mater will it.
Been using this tire for years on my Electra Glide. Good value, excellent traction on wet roads. I get around 10,000 miles on the rear tire. The factory used these for a reason-just a good all around tire for the money in my opinion. Been riding Harleys for 50 years.
