I thought, "what the heck - maybe Home Essentials Direct has it", and sure enough, they did. This bottle will easily last 6-8 months with daily use, and the compliments you'll get from both men and women will amaze you. Highly, highly recommended, guys!

L'eau Imperial is the most amazing scent. It has citrus and bergamot tones and is my very favourite perfume atm. It was apparently made for Empress Eugenie wife of Napoleon 111. I was thrilled to see that John Lewis stocked it after doing a number of searches. It's a very refreshing scent and appeals to both men and women. I won't go out without it on!

Eau De Cologne Imperiale is a 150(+) years old fragrance and the de facto bee bottle fragrance. Yet, it is still quite youthful with its dynamic citrus essences. Though this citrus essence epitomizes minimalism, it's still quite the sophisticated Guerlain. It is also a playful, light scent with limited hold (as with all the 'Les Colognes') ,,, which very ideal is to be freely splash whenever, wherever!A quick run to the store!--Spritz.A knock at the door! -Spritz.After the Shower!-- Spritz... etc.Eau De Cologne Imperiale, as with the other 'Les Colognes', is perfect for the truly passionate fragrance lover who choses utter freedom with spritzing and the scent that surrounds them.

As for the big picture, this is a citrus-lavender combo. However, this is not the eau de cologne you would expect. In the very opening of this fragrance, you are going to be hit with a noticeable animalic something which quickly fades away. I am speculating it comes from the oakmoss which is also a part of this composition. The animalicness of the opening is in today's standards, not refreshing to be honest. I really don't understand the point on throwing something animalic in the opening in a eau de cologne style fragrance as you are supposed to feel refreshing when putting it on. I found your site and was overjoyed to find a direct Guerlain distributor. Unfortunately, the Guerlain Imperiale that arrived was nothing like I had used when I first discovered the scent some years aga. The problem is that the scent has neglible staying power. Once applied any fragrance is gone in minutes-- or less. The fragrance that I once used and thought I had rediscovered, tended to come off in waves throughout the day and in step with one's activity level. The latest bottle of Imperiale left me feeling that I could get more fragrance from a spritz of very weak lemon water.
