Dove Crushed Macadamia & Rice Milk Exfoliating Body Polish, 10.5 oz

After receiving from Influenster and trying the Pomegranate version, I decided to try the Macadamia one. I'm so glad I did! The exfoliation intensity is moderate and the grains are extra fine, which is a great thing cause my skin is very sensitive – I've tried some body scrubs in the past that literally scratched my legs all over. The texture is buttery and the fragrance is nutty with rich notes of vanilla. It lasts longer than I expected and it's a very cozy scent, if you know what I mean. After using it, my skin is super soft. I don't feel like I need to use a body lotion after this, only on specific areas that require special attention. I definitely recommend it is your skin is as fussy as mine when it comes to harsher scrubs.

I love the packaging! The scent is absolutely heavenly, especially if you're a fan of coconut. It's not artificial like or overpowering, but it smells so wonderful! It feels smooth and grainy like a scrub should, and applies and smoothens as well as lathers on very well! A little goes a long way! Having really dry skin, especially on my arms, this helps perfectly. I feel much more moisturized and not sticky or tacky when I wash it off. It washes off easily and still leaves a wonderful smell. I love the feeling of having soft silky skin and incorporate scrub into my body care routine at least twice a week I find that with very dry skin it allows moisturizer to penetrate better along with adding additional moisture. The scrub doesn't dissolve right away so it's good for working into the extra dry areas of your body That needs some extra exfoliation. Second, because it's a creamy scrub vs a sugared scrub (like TH) it's super moisturizing too. When my skin was super sensitive from chemo but literally burnt and crispy from radiation I needed a super gentle scrub. The Macadamia and Rice Milk is a super gentle exfoliation because the crushed macadamia are softer I believe. The scent is really nice too, maybe not as strong and in your face as the fruity ones but definitely like a nice milky sweet scent. The product has a rich, creamy texture with red beads. The scrub has a thick liquid consistency so it is easy to spread on the body. It has a sweet vanilla smell, which is not that overpowering. The fragrance is actually quite relaxing. The scrub isn’t very harsh on my skin, either, unlike other scrubs. It has a perfect, gritty texture. On application, the product feels very luxe and indulgent. I think the product lives up to its claims. It leaves the skin very smooth, clean and moisturized. It is easy to rinse out while in the shower, which is also great.

My 1st one was the Brown Sugar and Coconut Butter, and I was obsessed! Next, I shopped at Walmart earlier this month and discovered this beauty, Macadamia %26 Rice Milk, and I was beyond obsessed! Con: price, but it’s whatever because it’s worth it. I will go back and forth with scrubs from other brands to save money time to time. Pro: smell, works on my sensitive skin, packaging is good (however, I would love if it was sealed so no one tries to put their fingers in the product before use), the amount is pretty good for 4-8 weeks. I’ve been using this item since the day it launched years ago & i will continue to buy until something else catches my eye. This brand may not work for some people, but it’s the only soap & scrub that makes me feel super clean and soft. This scrub is less intense than others so you can use every other day & have no issue. At least for me, I’m AA if that helps.
