Can't say much about it since I've only had it for two days.Bought it for eventual commercial work.Biggest selling point for me is the camera's mechanical shutter.This is not your modern DJI drone fare, recent models have better features and technology but they lack the mechanical shutter.You buy this drone because you want to get your foot in the door for commercial work that requires a camera with mechanical shutter.BONUS, if you have laying around a pair of DJI Goggles, the white version, not FPV, they will connect wirelessly to this drone.

It took me almost 3 weeks to get it rectified after countless emails and calls, but finally I got my money back. When the drone arrived, I was doing my equipment checks prior to my shoot Saturday and the drone and RC wouldn't pair. I tried troubleshooting every trick I know and could not get them to work. This was unfortunate and the first time I've had this happen with Lens Rentals where a product didn't work! I could not use it for the shoot Saturday (Red Bull Racing in Dallas) and instead had to rely on my personal backup Mavic to cover. I'm a big fan of LR but not happy about this one guys.
This is my 2nd time renting a drone, and I have been thrilled both times with the drone and the service.The DJI drones are so easy to fly and take excellent videos. The only drawbacks are battery life and lack of a zoom camera. But I knew this going in so it did not fail my expectations.I had to call support because I could not get my phone to connect, but when I tried the connection while on the phone with support, it worked. Go figure.I will be renting DJI drones from these guys again!
Gimbal was not functioning due to improper packing, it seems. When package arrived, the plastic gimbal securing piece was not secured and the drone gimbal was loose inside the case. Upon powering on and testing the drone, the gimbal was making a much louder sound than usual, sluggish and bumpy responsiveness and then it locked up at a bizarre angle. Lensrentals customer service dispatched a replacement immediately, were easy to get in touch with and to speak with, which I appreciated.When I ship our company Phantom 4 Pro V2 I have the plastic arm clipped in place, bubble wrap around the gimbal/plastic arm, and I put foam around the hard case within the box to cushion impacts. I was working at a very important job. The 1st DJI you sent had a broken gimbal and the 2nd unit you sent was also broken and crashed into the ground after flying for 5 to 8 minutes. I also rented a wide angle lens and that didn't work either. SO all in all none of the equipment worked and I ended up paying like $600 out of my pocket for broken equipment, which totally distracted from my job while I dealt with malfunctioning equipment.
I ordered the Phantom4 Pro V2.0 3 days ago. I was a little nervous as it was advertised as "Brand New" and the P4PV2 is hard to find new as DJI discontinued manufacturing them last fall. When it arrived I opened the box, and behold I was relieved; brand new! I charged and connected it to my iPad Pro, updated the firmware and flew three flights for a total of 18 minutes using most of the different modes. Flawless!! It was as advertised!
I've owned 3 P4p+ drones. Crashed and sunk the first 2, but always my fault as I tend to push everything to the extreme (and kind of a bone head). Very solid indeed! But stay out of the fog because the sensors go crazy, "return to home" will always save the day. It's fast and will get very far away in no time, only to spend more time creating your best 4K video footage for Facebook or other. I use the free 'Sound Bible' clips for audio inserts. So, if you can afford it, but it... it's like the Harley of drones; once you buy one, you'll never need to buy a better one. That's my 2 cents. God bless America.
I have had three Phantom 4 Pro drones and one Mavic Pro with DJI Goggles, each has performed splendidly. It amazes me tho, at how much more stable the Phantoms are in any wind speeds compared to the Mavic Pro. The Phantom is Rock Steady! When you let the controls go this baby stays put where it is at. The Phantom is a durable uav, I crashed my third Pro Plus and the battery popped out due to hitting the ground so hard after bouncing off a pine tree. I reinstalled the battery and it flew with no problem or visible damage. The Return-To-Home function has saved the day several times from a mile over the lake to losing signal behind trees. It has always made it back home safely. I live in a rural area with lots of cell towers and WiFi around. The camera far exceeds any other drone in this price range as well (in my opinion) although I was impressed with the Autel EVO II Pro camera. DJI Phantom 4 Pro Plus is my drone of choice.
