I have tested this drill a few times so far it has failed on any project so far.
I purchased this as a smaller alternative for peeling off plaster over my head. Only to realize it doesn't have a hammer only function. I would say it is pretty light weight and would be great for small holes in masonry.
the biggest down side to this hammer drill is that is does not have a hammer only setting so it only drills otherwise it would be a five star tool. Just like most of the DeWalt line up.
Just doesnt appear to have a lot of power to it and also I thought I was buying a handheld Jackhammer it was neither it was just a drill to drill through concrete
I've used a corded Ryobi hammer drill for 30 years for hanger pins for t-bar ceilings off of scaffolding and it's always been cumbersome moving the scaffold around the cord. Not only is this drill light weight, but has more power than the corded Ryobi. What ease using it on a rolling scaffold. It cuts through the concrete slabs with ease. Including Q-Deck filled with concrete.
This is awesome drill for setting bolts for rigging and aid climbing. It is lightweight, compact, and powerful at 20V. All 20V Dewalt batteries will fit this drill.
