I have some larger, heavier impact wrenches, including my old, reliable DCF889 (which has a brush type-motor and is rated at 400 ft-lbs). I needed to replace my blades on my mower & the retaining bolts were extremely tight. I had zero luck with a ratchet , so I went to my local TSC to find an alternative method. I purchased the DeWalt 1/2” impact wrench. Man ! That was the tool I needed ! Once I pulled the trigger on the first bolt, I knew I had made the right choice! That bolt came loose immediately & the other two bolts were just as quick . I had messed with them for over an hour with the ratchet, only minutes with the DeWalt ! Two thumbs up !

20V impact Wrench: Added to my collection of 20V Cordless Dewalt tools. So compact I can use it on 900 mile road trips to remove lug nuts easier than straining with a lug wrench. Also makes a good mechanic tool where a ratchet or torque wrench is not necessary. You should not use an impact wrench on spark plugs, it could strip threads or break the plug ceramic. Recommended for folks that want to go cordless especially where electricity is not available, like on the highway.

I got this for use in place of my Chicago Pneumatic CP7732 stubby 1/2" impact.With a full battery it's every bit as powerful. I use it for everything including lug nuts. Great trigger control, great light, extremely powerful for it's size. Sure you get the occasional vehicle that someone spplied too much torque when tightening the lug nuts. That requires the bigger gun but if someone applied the proper torque to the lug nuts this thing takes off no issues.Get some imlact swivel sockets and you can fit this most any place.
Good addition to the tool box, a light-weight, versatile impact with some punch. I already have some De Walt 20 v MAX tools so it complements what I have and the batteries can used as needed. I tried it on a utility trailers lug nuts that were torqued to 90 ft lbs but also had some rust from being stored outside. Buzzed them off without a 2nd thought. Next up is my 5th wheel lugs torqued at 120 ft lbs. I doubt those will be a problem. 120-130 ft lbs is about the most I will have to break and this will work very well for what I need. I still have my Snap On air impact as back up.
Great tool. I had my doubts given the size, but for my use of loosening and tightening lug nuts on my F350, it was great. I thought I was going to need the next size up, but as a free tool with a couple new batteries was hard to not try.It broke away all lug nuts that has been torqued to spec last fall pretty quick and on tightening it is easy to control torque as to not over tightened. Followed up with a torque wrench and job was done. Used with a 2ah battery and did a complete change over on all 4 wheels and didn’t even use 30% of the battery.Perfect for my application for vehicle lugs.
Well, the title name says it all, Mighty Mouse. This product packs a decent punch considering its size. I wasn’t sure it had the torque needed being I had over tightened lug nuts after taking it to a shop for other repairs.Small form factor SUV, 100ft lbs is what it’s supposed to be, I couldn’t budge these without this gun. Truly impressed. It did take a bit of work getting a few out, however, nice it around a little and they come undone. I managed to loosen mine in -24 weather with not a whole lot of effort past having to try a few times.This product is perfect for changing wheels when needed or even just general repair. Impressive for how small it is. A good buy and worth the investment.
Used this to do a brake job. Was just powerful enough to break loose the large bolts holding on the calipers. Would have liked a little more power. Maybe I should have considered a DCF921 since they have more torque. Will likely team this with one of the new mid-torque being released soon. Has about the same power with a 5 amp battery or 1.7 amp Power Stack but the power drops off fast with the Power Stack.

i got this tool free with the purchase of two Dewalt 20v power stack batteries. It performed well today with removing and reinstalling 8 wheel/tires from full size pickup trucks as well as removing tough brake caliper bolts. The smaller size makes it easier to get an impact into tighter areas, and the 3 little LEDs on front help with lighting up what you're working on too. I added this to my Dewalt 20V lineup to give it a try and I am very please with it.
