As always this is another fab product and would buy again.Be aware that the battery is now mostly Black not yellow like in the picture but confirmed as new livery by Dewalt help desk so won’t match what you have already.I did ask screwfix about the colour change and have now had the response below.“I have spoken to DeWalt regarding the colour option of the battery and they have confirmed that they have updated the colouring of the casing. The item you have received is how the 4 ah batteries will appear going forward.”I am sure the colour won’t effect its use but it’s nice to know why.

Unfair to rate it’s performance as just bought and not used, but good to have it in standby for upcoming diy sanding and router jobs. The lower power batteries gave about 30 minutes or so sanding and expecting this will go much longer. Excellent service at Birkenhead store.
Bought while at £49.98 (£20 off). Bargain for a genuine XR 18v 4Ah DeWalt battery! Toolstation got the order ready in no time but staff not particularly welcoming. Also there seems to be high staff turnover.
I bought this DeWalt 4.0AH LI-ION XR Battery to go with the DeWalt DCD776M1T-GB 18V 4.0Ah Li-Ion XR Cordless Combi Drill, this battery is efficient and lightweight energy source that is compatible with all DeWalt 18V XR range power tools, as well as the DeWalt universal XR charger. Fully charged it lasted a quite a while compared to other makes i have used. A really good Product at a fantastic price great value for money. I would highly recommend buying this battery.
Great cordless kit. Similar prices compared with competition, with similar performance.Once you've initially started with one manufacturer, you're better off sticking with them. The XR 18v range all use up enough power to consume a 2ah battery in no time, so I don't think they're worth their money but they are lightweight, so maybe ok for an impact driver. Go for a 4ah or 5ah battery.
Purchased as a supplementary (not replacement) battery for my range of cordless DeWalt tools. I have owned a hammer action drill from DeWalt for 10 years and despite frequent and heavy use, the batteries appear to be 100% when charged and last as long as they did new - well done DeWalt. Due to a recent purchase of a "bare" multi-tool from DeWalt, where I was sharing battery use with aforesaid drill, I saw the discounted battery prive on Toolstation and felt that the purchase, although now necessary, was worthwhile to give me greater freedom with the two tools. The new battery has been charged and put to use several times and the battery is so far proving to be as reliable as the original two batteries. Highly recommended product.
Good battery bought for circular saw. It does the job, but the power is eaten quite fast by the beastly circular saw. 6Ah or more would be better for heavier work, but if you have small amounts to do then it is just fine. This battery lasts a long time in impact drivers and drills. From other reviews I expected longer life with the circular saw, but it didn't really matter for me as a diy guy doing 4 or 5 longer cuts in 18mm hardwood ply. It can always go in the charger during a tea break :)
