Very easy to connect and maneuver into a viewable position. The overall sharpness of the monitor is great. Crist lines and smooth transitions on videos. As a musician, I found the overall length from edge to edge is perfect for recording software and still have room to one side for viewing project files. As an IT Professional, I find it useful for screen splitting while monitoring assets.

This monitor is immense! I almost had to buy a larger desk to accommodate it! Ok, not quite that huge but it is large in a fantastic way. It took a bit of time to get used to the immersive feel of sitting in front of this large, curved display. It really fills your peripheral vision. The monitor display is crisp and clear with accurate color reproduction. I love being able to have multiple applications open and in a workable size. The Dell Display Manager application makes it easy to slice and dice the monitor real estate into preset window configurations. I also find the built in RJ45 and KVM function very useful. I have my desktop and laptop both connected and switching between the 2 devices is easy.

The Dell Ultra Sharp 49 is an impressive monitor that offers a lot of value for its price. The image quality is crisp and sharp. The colors are vivid and accurate, making it easy to get work done efficiently. I replaced 3 monitors with one.One of the standout features is its USB hub, which works flawlessly. This hub makes it easy to connect multiple devices and keep your workspace organized!

An excellent productivity monitor - the combination of lots of screen real estate, integrated MST hub, and IPS Black technology (with 10 bit color) mean that this monitor looks terrific through all productivity applications. I really appreciate the addition of USB-C with power delivery but wish that I could disable the "USB" functionality on that port so it just transfers DisplayPort and Power (you have the option of "High Data Rate" or "High Resolution" for the USB-C port. The "High Data Rate" option gives USB 3 speeds for the on-board USB hub at the cost of image quality - you still get the full resolution on most devices but the compression is noticeable. "High Resolution" gives you the full image quality but limits the USB ports to USB 2 - which means that many of the devices connected to the monitors USB hub function slowly or not at all - I'd like to see a third option where I could use the built-in KVM to just run DisplayPort and Power over the USB-C and use the other USB-C input on the monitor for data). This is a nitpick though since the monitor has lots of connectivity options that make it a great monitor for all of the different devices you use. I'd also like to mention the stand - although there is no swivel, there is height and tilt adjustment which, for my use case, is more than enough. Overall a very nice monitor that I would highly recommend for someone looking at a dual-display setup but wants the convenience (and minimalism) of a single, super ultrawide monitor.
Outstanding monitor! Provides enough room for 3-4 simultaneous applications to be viewed at once. Well constructed, solid and stable frame doesn’t take up too much room. Easy to unpack, place in frame, plug in, and use. Highly recommended.
This monitor is very good. I had a 49 ultra-wide from Samsung before. This one is more responsive when bringing the laptop out of sleep. It is also more work focused, while the Samsung was a gaming monitor. I am not a gamer. I do love the several USB ports that it come with.
Been watching the previous iteration of this monitor for some time but I wanted an all in one solution with a single cable connection to include speakers. This new design added the speakers I was wanting and purchased it when it was on sale. Sadly, when I connected my Dell XPS 15 (9550) I did not see any video. After some extensive searching, it appears that Dell won’t update the USB-C connection for video in my laptop and now this monitor doesn’t recognize it. So, the solution was to use a docking station with DP output. I already had a docking station but it too wasn’t capable of DP, so either I purchase a newer laptop (moving to a new laptop is a royal PITA) or get yet another docking station, which is what I reluctantly did. It’s still a single cable solution ... MoreBeen watching the previous iteration of this monitor for some time but I wanted an all in one solution with a single cable connection to include speakers. It’s still a single cable solution but there is more behind the monitor than I would have liked. Other than Dell not providing an update to make my XPS 15 9550 work, the monitor is great…..so far.
I can't speak for all the tech specs - I just wanted a "Huge" monitor for more windows. This monitor does the job extremely well. The display tool really comes in handy and I can get 4 very well sized windows stretched across the display. If you're looking for productivity - This is definitely the monitor to have especially if you're day trading - I think the next move is to something to stack a 2nd monitor on top of this one.
The monitor is great still learning how to use it. Only issue I have is I can't keep my Desktop and my laptop plugged into the USB port at the same time. I have to unplug the USB c cable to go back to my desktop. It might be my error but I can find enough documentation to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Outside of that I love the monitor Also there needs to be a how to video made to help new users.
Sharp, crisp images. Dell's display manager software works perfectly and offers a multitude of prebuilt split screen layout options, all with the convenience of a single USB-C connection. Very happy with this purchase !
