*UPDATE* 1 Day later So the issues of the first monitor bothered me enough to contact Dell to see what they could do about it. To my surprise, they said the product warranty according to the tag number was already EXPIRED!? Umm, what the heck Dell, this was a brand new monitor purchased from an authorized reseller. Anyway, they sent me back to Home Essentials Direct to resolve it. Home Essentials Direct was good enough to send me an exchange. So the second one just came, and I set it up. There's still some uniformity issues with color on the all white screen. Also there's a noticeable vignetting going on with both monitors I received, showing a brownish tint from all 4 edges of the screen to about 1.5 to 2 inches in. The second screen I just received didn't have the bad areas of darker bars of pixels, but there's noticeable areas of color shift throughout the whole screen. Now I'm contemplating whether I live with it and say good enough, or give up on Dell altogether and look at the BenQ version of a miniLED. It's disappointing that a monitor with a $4k price tag would force me to make such decisions and not just be completely satisfying. Also, I'm very concerned with how Dell is seemingly rejecting warranty coverage on these if purchased from Home Essentials Direct. *12-01-2021* There are some serious uniformity issues for such a premium priced monitor. If you look at my photos, there's a whole rectangular bar of darker pixels in the upper right corner as well as some through the lower middle of the screen. It almost looks like "burn-in" which makes me suspicious if I was issued a factory refurbished monitor for a NEW Monitor price. I bought this monitor to replace my 10yr old U3011 that has finally gasped it's last breathe after a few months of showing signs of failure. The pixel density on this monitor is definitely nice and the picture is SUPER SHARP. This aspect of the monitor is very nice and the overall dimensions is actually slightly smaller than my old U3011 due to the tiny bezels. I'm just really disappointed in the horrible screen uniformity, especially if I'm going to be doing some color work on this thing. You can see that the uniformity affects all 3 colors as well. I'm in need of a monitor but at the same time, I'm contemplating returning this thing as the price tag is quite high for this kind of disappointment. I'll have to see what Home Essentials Direct or Dell suggests to do.

This monitor has an absolutely stunning panel. The options to change color spaces and built in calibration tool is fantastic. I love the hood of the monitor it attaches easy and it was shipped and high quality packing with amazing accessories. Now here are the problems.1. Like other color grading monitors this has a fan inside it. The noise is annoying in SD, but you can ignore it. However, the second you turn on HDR the fan is very loud and high pitch. I thought my monitor was broken so I had Dell send me a replacement and it is just that loud. I could not use this in an office environment.2. This is frustrating because in the past you only had to use the USB Hub to get this settings. Now I cannot just plug my macbook into the monitor whenever i want to.

I'm using the UP3221Q with a MacBook Pro. Everything works great as long the Mac outputs a non-HDR video signal, but when as the Mac set to High Dynamic Range mode colors become too saturated, and dark colors become too bright. It's not a small difference that could be attributed to manufacturing tolerances or inaccurate calibration; the colors are way off. I've been unable to find settings that make the monitor work in HDR mode with a Mac. Dell's tech support wasn't particularly helpful. According to the representative I talked to, incorrect colors normal.Connected to a Mac, the monitor is great to working with non-HDR images, but it sure would be nice if HDR mode worked, too. My guess is the Mac needs a color profile that accurately describes the monitor.

The way this accurately displays both luminance and color gives a much more organic, natural representation. Have had it for about a year grading video and still images. Great for checking your images before sending them out.
Good quality sound. User interface not great but usable. Sound is better than Sansa clip. Can't beat it for the price.
Great monitor and very sharp.
Need this for work and bought a second one to run them at 4K60Hz. The design and built in colorimeter and hood are nice. 3 yr Dell warranty is standard. The colors are great. Screen is bright and even. There is a Dell software you can install that let's you quickly change the color profiles or resolution of each monitor. One downside I can think of is the faint buzzing/humming noise of the monitor when the room is quiet. It's not a silent monitor, so if that is an issue, be aware.
High Pitch noise while monitor is turned on.
An excellent monitor for Color Correct
nice that you can increase gb with micro sd card. funky controls but work well
