I have hesitated for a couple years to order curved screen monitor. I'm so thankful that I finally did! I wok with large spreadsheets daily. I often have more than one program running and have multiple screens up. I always felt like me eyes were struggling to follow words over to the edges of my flat screen. The slight curve is so much easier on my eyes. It's difficult to explain, but it makes a difference when you are looking at the screen at least eight hours a day. Great monitor, great buy!

This is a decent monitor. Not extraordinary, but good value for money panel. Overall, I am happy so far with the quality. But be warned, the default calibration and settings are stupendously bad; almost as if an effort went into specially making those the worst. It took me nearly 3 days to play with brightness, calibration, colors, contrast, refresh rates, and other settings to get it finally to the point where I wanted it to be. Yes, I understand that some of those settings depends on personal perspective about usage, but still, the baseline could have been much better by Dell.Use rtings calibration, and some really good recommendations from reddit users to have this monitor set up to its potential. The Dell 34 Curved WQHD Monitor (S3422DW) has proven to be an excellent purchase. It performs admirably, delivering on its promise of an immersive viewing experience with its wide, curved display. True to their word, it arrived precisely on the day it was supposed to, which is always a pleasant surprise. Over the next few days, I'll be putting it through its paces with a variety of tasks to see how it holds up. Stay tuned for a more detailed review after I've had the chance to thoroughly test its capabilities.
This monitor is great but although it has anti glare, it seems to be more on the glossy side. I have 3 other Dell monitors, 2 of which have the full matte coating that I love & I compared them to this screen & this monitor proved to allow some light in. Another con is the colors. I understand that this is a VA panel so that explains why the quality is a bit poor, but I had to play with the settings numerous times before finally finding something somewhat bearable. Not to mention, it feels as though there is light a grainy look or faded look in the color. But all in all, this is still a great monitor for multitasking or editing, like I use it for. It's not meant for intense gaming or great picture quality.
Picture quality is excellent! Solid construction, but not too heavy and works well with articulating monitor arm. Speaker quality is not very good, however. They do not have a very good overall sound. very small and thin sounding. But the monitor itself is great. I bought (2) of these and I'm very happy with the look, performance and quality of the monitors themselves, so the speakers being less than ok does not bother me - i am using external speakers that sound great.
The monitor is great, but it is only 13 inches high instead of 15 1/2 like the 32 inch monitor. If you have the Dell desktop the Display ports take a special plug that looks similar to the HDMI cables, however, the HDMI cables will not fit in the Display port slot and need to be purchased separately. The monitor has both ports so there are no worries. I like the USB Upstream connections to that other USB devices can be plugged into the monitor. The color resolution is great and true. It automatically adjusts so you do not have to fool with it.

Heck I even tested out old school games on it with little to no scaling issues.Many older games from 90s 2000s don't support 1440 or for that matter some even have issues with 1080 gaming so you have to descale and use some windows compatibility settings to get it to run.For entertainment (netflix and prime) that is where sometimes you may have those black sidebars because the video doesn't support widescreen but in tv shows/ movies that it does it looks great.Blacks are not too bad, color is great.FPS and refresh rate for first person shooters is great.I get a constant 144 MHZ on my 3070 for most FPS.Only the heavy duty games like cyberpunk is where I don't get the FPS I need which is where the difference can be felt but adaptive sync does a good job.It is very important to use the DVI cable they supplied to not have any issues with 144 Mhz as I noted other cables do have screen tearing issues oddly enough.

I wanted decent resolution and the 12:9 ratio is nice for multitasking. I create a lot of stuff using various apps like Blender, Reason, Affinity Photo and having the extra screen space is really nice. The wrap around screen takes a little getting use to, but it's ok. I'm not a fan of the silver stand but I can do something about it creative somehow I am sure so that is not a big issue by any means. It is not too heavy and the back of the monitor is nice. I rely on studio monitor speakers with a sub woofer for audio. I turned the brightness all the way up from default and I am happy with how it looks. The brightness is comparable to my Alienware M15 laptop when power is plugged in and set to full brightness. I do some gaming and I am satisfied with it's performance. I typically so a lot of digital artwork 3D modeling, graphic design, animation and I am happy with the color, contrast and brightness this monitor produces.
