Davines Oi Conditioner 250 ml

I can’t believe you changed important ingredients on a cult favorite. I live in Denver where it’s very dry, and I have sebhorric dermatitis which makes most conditioners aggravate my skin. And this was the only conditioner that saved my long hair and kept it from drying out from the climate. Since using the new formula the ends of my hair is trashed, and no longer shiny and silky like it was before. I’m so sad you omitted the Sunflower seed oil and added Isopropyl Alcohol to the formula! My hair has never looked worse! Please bring back the old formula xoxox

WOW - I previously had dry/frizzy hair. I was embarrassed how my hair looked. I went back to a stylist I used to go to a few years ago and she was talking to me about this line. She used the OI shampoo and conditioner for non curly hair and after the cut, she flat ironed my hair. Wow!!! Instantly, I saw a difference. The shine was unbelievable!!!! My hair was so smooth. Because of this product, I wear my straight for the most part. Just recently, I went on line to see what other products were there and I found a shampoo and conditioner for curly/frizzy hair. I really like this product, but the packaging makes no sense. I've dropped it three times w/my hands filled with a blob of pricey (but good) conditioner while trying to screw the lid back on. In each case, the conditioner got washed off my hands and additional condition plopped out of the container onto the shower floor. I'm not uncoordinated—it's that the container will fill up with water if I set it down without screwing on the lid.I get that the product is thick, but the rest of the conditioner world has figured out how to make it come out of squeeze bottle. You might want to try a bigger hole, like on a mayonnaise squeeze bottle. Even though I really like the product, I cannot bear to see any more conditioner run down my drain. This is a really nice conditioner. It does what it claims to do. It makes your hair feel soft and look shiny, and I even noticed that it actually does help speed up the drying process of my hair. It’s my choice of conditioner if I am getting ready with a short time limit. I also love the smell of the OI line! The reason I’m only giving it 4/5 stars is because my hair is very long and my hair still tends to tangle when using this conditioner. This conditioner helps with manageability better than most conditioners, but it could be better. I bought the full size of this and wish I would’ve stuck with buying their MELU conditioner. As much as I like this conditioner the price is ridiculous. I have been using it for almost about a year and it has gone up $5 dollars within that time frame! I wish Davines had a point system or something where you can earn rewards or percentages off your purchases. I think it’s worth it to treat your hair to good products but please keep it at an affordable price. My hourly wage hasn’t increase by $5 dollars in a year… soon a bottle is going to reach $50 and at that point it’s not worth it.

A little about my hair to start - I have virgin hair that’s just a bit past shoulder length and it’s fine (lots of strands) with a mix of 2A-2C waves. I deal with a lot of frizz and an oily scalp with dry ends. I’m honestly still not sure if I’m considered low or high porosity since I have traits from both. I’m using this along with the matching shampoo and I’ve used it three times now. I use maybe about a quarter glob size amount while my hair is still wet enough to help spread the product through since I use a small amount. To be honest, for how much it costs and how much product you get I’m scared to use more than I do lol. However, the amount I’m using seems to be working and it’s enough to spread through my shoulder-length hair and feel soft! It does leave my hair feeling soft, but without other styling products, I do still have frizz. This is the first line that I’ve used from this brand, so it’s possible that there are better conditioners out there to help add more moisture. I got samples of of the Curl line so I’m excited to try them out. I really don’t like the tub that this comes in. I’m almost tempted to buy a different bottle to transfer the product into because I hate twisting off the lid and worrying about dropping it in the shower and spilling all my money down the drain. Like the shampoo, the smell is not the best but I’m hoping that it will continue to work with my hair! I’m not sure if there are more affordable versions of Davines, but for now, I’ll see how long the small bottles last me and determine whether it’s worth investing in.

Disappointed!

Really disappointed with this product. I’m always on the hunt to find a good conditioner that requires only a little bit to be used to soften my thick/semi-wavy/frizz prone hair. After seeing all the reviews and considering the price point of this product I decided to give it a try! Worst mistake ever. Firstly, the smell of this product is terrible. Floral in an old-cheap kind of way. Secondly, it made my scalp itch. Lastly, I’m giving it two stars because it did manage to get my hair averagely soft but there are WAY better products out there!

From straw to silk

I got this as my Indian cousin said it gave her curls. I don’t have curls; I do have straw but no longer! This smells divine and really and truly does what it says on the can. It’s got compound interest too as it’s effects nourish and strengthen, feed your hauler so over time, it’s silkier and silkier. I have stopped buying lots of bits and just invest in this quality because it saves me so much time, stress and money. Don’t even have to blow dry.

I have eczema at the base of my scalp so I have to be careful what products I use to avoid irritation. Luckily this product wasn’t one of them.What I like: My hair is very fine, so I don’t like a lot of buildup .. typically hair “thickening” products weigh my hair down so I avoid those in my regime. Instead I opt for moisturizing products as those keep my hair looking healthier and give it more bounce. I’m very happy with my purchase because this product not only doesn’t weight my hair down, but it also gives a very nice silky shiny look to it. Sooooo soft to the touch. The scent is most apparent obviously when I’m conditioning it, but once it’s rinsed out it doesn’t linger. I asked my husband what he thought of the scent and whether he found it masculine and he said no. So perhaps my olfactory receptors are highly sensitive. But I like how pretty my hair looks so I will definitely purchase again. In fact I’m going to buy another bottle right now.Please don’t discontinue this!

Really good, but not as moisturizing as Love. GREAT body though!

The title says it all. This is a solid Davines conditioner. However, I find myself having to use more of it to get that deeply coated feeling (versus the LOVE smoothing conditioner by Davines). That being said, it does the job. My hair has excellent moisture and body, I follow up with Oi Milk always after showering. If you like that Oi scent, this one is heavy with it. I can't stand the Oi scent but I use the Oi stuff anyways because Davines is so effective.
