Darche Nebula + 1550 Swag & 70mm Mattress
With all of your favourite Nebula features, this premium edition packs a punch in terms of space and storage with the inclusion of the Hutch compartment to store your gear. With two external access doors plus the convenient in swag access panel through to the Hutch, you can keep your gear dry and access it from inside or outside of the swag. Store your gear bag or your muddy boots away from your sleeping quarters, keep the beer and fire wood dry or even let the dog bunk in! Dont be fooled by the size of this swag, youll be sitting around the fire in no time with an easy set up that takes only a couple of minutes. This new design has even larger doors than the standard Nebula, that run into the roof line. The larger opening makes it easier to get in and out of the swag, and allows you to stand up without getting out of the swag. With the storm covers rolled up, youll get starry night views as you drift off in ultimate comfort. The storm covers can even be used as an awning for extra protection when you step out during those cold and rainy mornings (awning poles sold separately). The huge doors on five sides of the Nebula Plus + provide terrific cross ventilation as well as panoramic views on your next off-road adventure. All doors include dual-zippered canvas and super-fine mesh, keeping you cool in the heat and ensuring youre well protected from the mozzies all year round. The Nebula Plus + swag is made from premium 420gsm ripstop polycotton canvas with an impressive PU 800mm waterhead rating. Theres also internal seam sealing and a reinforced, heavy-duty 600gsm PVC bucket floor to keep you dry in those rainy conditions. This swag includes a mattress upgrade - now featuring our premium quality, high-density 70mm foam mattress with a removable cover, making for an easy clean up at the end of a long trip. The canvas swag bag provided is perfect for storage and protection while youre on the go - throw it in the back of the ute or on the roof rack and get on the road.

Set up under 5 mins easy. I can roll up and fit back in bag by myself. All weather. Mattress comfy in the cold. Fits two large adults no probs with extra room for bags in the vestibule. Bulky in bag , but I fit three of these across on a flat roof rack on top of four wheel drive. No more seperate mattress bags and tents.

I simply love this swag. It’s a buggy but worth every cent. I did quite a bit of research before pulling the trigger and purchasing. Not many reviews on YouTube so I went and checked this out in person at Darches showroom in Melbourne.. and only then did I put my order in with snowys who had it at a great price. I have slept in it only half a dozen times away up in the Vic High Country in July. While i was lucky enough to have had no rain, I certainly experienced some gale force winds that literally blew a couple of lesser single swags right off their cots! (I barely noticed the wind hunkered down cosy and warm in this amazingly spacious swag. The hutch at the end is a godsend. Plenty of room to throw in my gear bags and enough height that I could easily move around ... MoreI simply love this swag. It’s a buggy but worth every cent. If you don’t like the idea of sleeping in a coffin sized swag and like to spread out a bit when on your own, with your dog, or even the wife (remember this is a double swag) then this is what you are going to want. It’s a beast in its bag but I managed to get it into and out of the bag relatively easily. Rolling it up by myself took a little longer than a single swag but I always got it in the bag in one go (and the bag accommodated the swag with a double sleeping bag plus two Wollen blankets, as well as 4 tarp poles and a spreader bar for the tarp in addition to the swag poles .. all in the bag with room to spare. The 70mm mattress is super comfy. I’m a heavy side sleeper (130kgs) and I couldn’t feel the ground when sleeping. The canvas is thick and I’m happy to report I could not tell might from day when inside. Re the zippers mentioned in another review.. Yes they were stiff to begin with but by the end of my trip they were loosening up well enough to allow me to ext the swag in pitch darkness as I am prone to do at least once a night. Finally, it’s nice to have a swag with enough space and headroom that I can change, though be it from a sittin position.

Sold our camper wanted something small and sturdy. Looked at nebula 1550 but needed more room for the dogs and bags so got the +. Just used this for the first time and was great. A couple of flaws not deal breakers (yet) - side doors awesome you can see stars, but a pain to zip closed on a rounded angle and super tight which got frustrating. Needed to unlatch the hook to zip up at one point. The doors also cause some sagging inside the tent impacting on head height compared to nebula 1550 but still enough room. Also, when it’s raining got to keep all canvas down as no fly like 1550 - need to use separate small poles to hold doors up but has no sides to stop rain flying in. Some seals also not sealed properly inside but we seasoned it, and it rained with no leaking ... MoreSold our camper wanted something small and sturdy. I think it should have had a different model name as the 1550 + implies its the same with an extra add on section, but the only thing that is the same is the shape of the mattress. Also disappointed it does not have the fly like the original, and the original fly does not fit.
Bought 2 of these for a month road trip, downgraded from a camper trailer as it was too much work. Family of 4 plus a dog. They have been great so far! 2 mins to set up, about 5 mins to pack up. Yes they are a big swag when rolled up but we knew that from the videos we watched before we purchased. Hutch is great for our dog & our bags fit in the second hutch. We have left our bedding in there and they fold up fine & fit easily back into the bag. Bit of condensation but we had that in our camper as well. Very happy with purchase so far!
Just got our second Nebula, this time went for the big daddy. (old one kids use with their partners) We have had original Nebula 1550 for 3 years and loved it. heaps of room, easy to set up. We replaced the mattress with xped megamat 10cm. super comfortable all round. Purchased this one without much thought and realised when we got home it doesn't have the fly over the top like the original_ which we love, little awning to allow you to get in and out without rain, and the additional layer keeps it cooler in summer. Tried fitting the original fly to this and works except for one strap being 10cm short.easily addressed with some cord. otherwise all good. The kids aren't worried about not having fly, but if you are older and want a nedula perhaps buy the fly as a spare ... MoreJust got our second Nebula, this time went for the big daddy. We have been using the smaller Darche swag for about 5 years - we loved it - could roll it up with an air mattress and bedding inside every night and it was fab. The new version - I’ve got to say is not as well designed. The larger mattress means we have had to remove the sleeping bag as it wouldn’t roll up small enough to do up the straps and zip up the bag. The extra tall doors and mesh are nice, but the clips for the frame are weirdly placed so the top sags a bit. Then the strap stitching came undone when using it to lift the swag. I feel like Darche’s research and development team have dropped the ball on the one. Going home to swap back to the old one and sell this one.
