I bought this tape a while ago for work, and like most other tape measures was poorly let down, this was hyped to be a really good quality tape measure, but it really isn't feels flimsy as in the hand, the standout on it is good, but the tape is thin and as I said flimsy and twists easy which i really don't like and the case for it also just feels cheap.wouldn't recommend getting it , I would personally recommend a stanley tape, I always seem to resort back to them , stanley seem to have the best tape measures on the market. lukfin stuff isnt usually this bad but this tape definitely isnt up there

Nice in hand and easy to read but the quality of the tape was disappointing. Poor stand out, prone to twisting which eventually ended in a busted tape. Not up to tradesman standards.

This tape does not measure up to the old oz made Lufkin tapes I have used over the last 20 years.Purchased 6 months ago and used recently for a two week project and I noticed the first 100mm of tape has developed creases and also starting to split in one spot.I returned for a refund but was denied because the Bunnings team member said I bent the tip over and there is nothing wrong with it.After some research I found that this is a common fault with this tape and has apparently been rectified by a Gen 2 version which is not sold in Australia.

I’ve had this now for awhile so it’s had some use. It’s solid, has been dropped a couple of times and still works as it should. I’ve had no problems with it at all.I’m glad I purchased this.
Great size for a 10m feels solid in hand also handy having measurements on both sides but the actual tape it’s self is flimsy and not the best in windy conditions and also the ultra preflex tape at around 3-4m I understand reason why it’s like that due to its extreme reach unhooked makes it somewhat annoying.
I have around 5 or 6 tape measures in my kit and I ask one question - why is it so hard to find a quality tape measure?I spent the extra on this tape as it looked to be the real-deal. Sadly however it's a classic case of talking the talk but not walking the walk...It may be shock resistant but it lacks in pretty much everything else.The blade really just does not stand out as far as claimed. It might in a test lab but no way on job-site especially outdoors if it's even slightly windy.The blade is also very flimsy. Mine has only had light use and it already has kinks and creases in the first 100mm of the blade.I'll be honest here - just buy a cheaper tape. I've found superior quality and had better performance in sub $20 tapes.
I had high hopes for this tape. I've been hunting for a good tape for a while now not really a fan of fat Max because I find the lines hard to read.This tape seemed like would live up to the test as I think Lufkins are the best when it comes to reading but after 3 days it was bent and twisted with kinks left, right, everywhere I returned it and thought I would give it another try maybe I just got a dud however the same problem again in a few days. I just returned it and got my money back. The hunt continues.
Disappointing for the price. Standout greatly exaggerated, tape is a little flimsy and has bent almost straight away. Not recommended.
This doesn’t even compare to my previous Lufkin tape measure that lasted me nearly 15yrs.The tape & very thin & flimsy. I kinked it on the first use. After a couple months the tape has so many dents & kinks that it doesn’t retract as good as it should. Useless on a windy day. They don’t make them like they used to.
standout is only 3.6 not 4 as claimed, disapointing as i bought this product just to test the standout, i dont know how to use it! very good mesure for wearing as fashion accessary
