They are comfortable (firm padding though), stylish, decent sound quality (for the price), the mic quality WAS decent. However, today, the 4 pin conductor for the mic no longer makes contact with all surfaces in the headset. I didn't do anything special when plugging in the mic but never got any output to the computer. Tried updating firmware, reinstalling drivers, other computers. Finally I realized that pushing the mic in will get some feedback/mic... but as soon as you take it away, no mic. Guess I'll see what Corsair can do for me. Owned 3 years +/- now and while they’re fine when functional, and endured heavy gaming use, we’ve had to make several repairs. The mic jack is only attached to the board internally with a small amount of soldering. This of course fails should you drop them or they fall and land on the mic, and then has to be reattached with an appropriate amount. The mute button is attached to the board with a bit of adhesive, which fails and must be reattached with better adhesive. The LI battery failed and had to be replaced. This was not readily available which required some finessing by finding a battery with like specifications and changing over the connector. Has barely been two years and the battery is completely dead. Without a cable, it will not turn on. Also had to replace the leather ear cup cushions because the leather was tearing. That could be my own fault for not taking care of the leather properly. Regardless, the headset battery failed under normal/light use as a gaming headset then transitioned it into use for work meetings where it would be on for 1-2 hr increments, well below the life of the battery. While it worked it was great, but the battery failing defeats the major reason in getting it. Currently talking to Corsair Support to see if anything can be done. Will update with new info.
