Corpus Natural Deodorant Santalum

I decided to switch to natural deodorant and what I’ve discovered is that it is a very personal thing. What works for someone else, may not work for another. I tried several kinds and was left with rashes, burning, dry skin, or it didn’t help odor for long. I decided on Corpus because it does not have baking soda or coconut oil or Shea. I’ve found baking soda to be drying in a bad way and the oil or butter stains clothes. The California scent is very light - I was slightly disappointed in that but it smells fresh and light. Corpus is now my go to for deodorant!!!!

I got the California one. In the container, the scent is interesting as it has a salty twist. It wasn’t bad so I went ahead and used it. A couple non-active hours later, I could smell an odor of musty salt. It was so unpleasantly potent, and like no smell I had ever smelled on myself before. I thought maybe my body just had to get used to it even though I’ve been using natural deodorant for years. But then all of a sudden my armpits got very sore and tender. Then a rash appeared so I washed it off. The next morning, my lymph nodes were swollen. It was very alarming! I know this product got a lot of good reviews so I was excited to use it, but it didn’t work in anyway for me…not the smell, not the effectiveness and not my sensitivities. I will deal with residue on my clothes instead of swollen lymph nodes.

This works sooo well, and I normally have smelly pits and have to reapply and keep a mini deodorant in my purse to top up throughout the day, but I can honestly go two days without reapplying this it works so well. I was using salt and stone before but started reacting to the baking soda, so switched to this for a baking soda free deodorant. I'm so impressed with how well this works. I've already tested this while wearing wool which normally makes me stinky and it holds up. I've yet to try it in warm months, but will post another review to see if this works with the summer heat. And the scent is so nice. I love santal scents and this one is so lovely.
