Cooks Standard 3-Quart Multi-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Saucepan with Lid

Very happy with this pot, ordered two to replace two non-stick pots that I had used for the last 24 years because with all the use during the pandemic the non-stick coating was beginning to chip. Not knowing how much longer I would be home and cooking 2-3 meals a day decided to try something more substantial. I knew they were a good choice as soon as I took one out of the box. They are nicely balanced in your hand, the handles do stay cool, haven't had a problem with food sticking if you let the pan warm up as indicated in the instructions. I've used them for more than a week now and have not had a problem with discoloration. I find I can use a much lower heat when cooking, probably due to the clad bottom and the lid forms a tight seal. Attractive, solid and functional

The main thing I look for in a pan is weight. A good solid bottom to distribute heat. This pan has it. Holding it in the hand, it feels substantial, durable, and real. The lif fits snuggly. The handle has a cutout near the pan itself that releases heat and keeps the handle from getting unusably hot. This is a no-nonsense, built to last pan- no rubber, no non-stick foolishness, no copper. I love it.

Candy making perfect every time

This pan is perfect to make Hershey’s old fashioned cooked fudge. The candy thermometer fits snugly against the side of the pan and reads accurately, which is a problem with other pans. This pan makes fudge that turns out every time.

Cooks Standard

Absolutely love stainless! I don’t think I even own anything that is not stainless. They last lifetimes, I have stainless pans that were my great grandmother’s. This one that I have been using this past week is really holding up with the others, would definitely recommend Cooks Standard to my family and friends. The one thing that I didn’t really care for is that this one does not have a glass lid in which I would prefer.

Excellent value and quality

Excellent pot. The handle stays cool to the touch except for near the side. The heat is even. The lid is tight. I cooked rice and it was perfect. We have hard water and it does spot. I hand dried it and no spots. Air dried it - water spots but don't care.

I Use it Every Day. It is a Must-Have!

This sauce pan is my absolute favorite. It is the good kind of heavy, where it feels high quality but is still comfortable to cook with. 3 quarts is the perfect size; it cooks for 6+ comfortably. Everything cooks so evenly. It doesn’t scratch up and look junky over time, and it is surprisingly durable. The lid fits perfectly and lets no steam escape. I have cooked a dish, washed this pan, and used it again for another dish within the same meal! I’ve bought six more as Christmas presents for family members!

Perfect for cooking and for appearance

Perfect for smaller cooking portions. I went from a 'non-stick' saucepan to this convenient, healthy saucepan with a handle that does not get hot. The non-stick (teflon) layer is poisonous and should be outlawed. The family who eats food from non-stick pans is gradually getting poisoned from food cooked in a teflon vessel.

Quality, heavy saucepan. Great for induction!

When I replaced my old downdraft range with an induction range, I had to replace most of my cookware. All cookware that states induction compatible are not equal. Cooks Standard is perfect for induction. I am replacing the pieces I wasted my money on with Cooks Standard pieces. Dry them immediately after washing to avoid water spots.

Smaller family

Love this pot! Perfect size for 2 people. This is my favorite go to pot for food that scorches easily! Love it!

So much nicer than my old saucepan

I love to cook and some of my pots and pans are industrial/restaurant grade, some are not. I was happy to be able to pick this saucepan up to round-out my lineup of saucepans. The ones I have right now don't heat evenly and also tend not to retain heat.I love stainless steel as it is easier to clean and you don't have to worry about someone accidentally using a metal utensil to stir whatever they happen to be making, unlike non-stick.I am looking forward to using this one for making gravy and such on Thanksgiving.
