Converse Chuck 70 Vintage Canvas - Black - 6.5

I am fan-girling over these Converse Chuck 70's!! I could go on about the white leather for days, it is genuinely beautiful. The Egret soles make the white leather look bright and bring a cool dynamic style together. They are really high-quality sneakers, that were designed to perfection. They feel and look really well made and the retro look eats!! I could style these shoes for days. I already have so many ideas and outfits I am planning to rock with these Chuck 70's! I think my favorite outfit so far has been these shoes and my favorite bell bottoms to get the full '70s feel. The shoes are extraordinarily comfortable, and the design is ingenious. My chucks are so comfortable I would rather walk in them than barefoot. They are loaded with cushion and padding making them great for long strides or a hard days work. I have high arches in my feet and these shoes fit my feet so perfectly, the OrthoLite cushioning is fabulous. If you are on the fence about buying these shoes, I can assure you... get them, you will not regret it.

A Classic Shoe - stylish but runs very large

I was very excited when my chucks arrived - they had that beautiful classic white look that we have all come to know and recognize. I am so happy that these are coming back into style after wearing them as a teen! I am usually a size 9.5 but sized down to a 9 because I heard that these run big. I probably should have sized down even farther as even a 9 was a bit big! I am going to keep them because I think it will still work as long as I wear thicker socks, but just something to keep in mind. I will probably purchase these in-store next time so that I can ensure I get the proper fit. I opted for the wide shoe because I usually need wides, but with this brand I might be able to get away with a regular since they are so roomy. I have to be careful with the white, but so far I have been able to wipe off marks easily.

Better than classic

I have purchased and worn many pairs of Converse. The biggest issue that I've always had with them is that they're tight on my feet. I have wide feet and would often need to keep the laces loose, or do an open lacing on the bottom to keep them comfortable. These pair, however, are wide enough that they didn't need any sort of modification to be comfortable. The design and fabric remain true to the original. The canvas is flexible, comfortable, and doesn't need to be broken in. The insole is a little cushy, but not so much that I can't to squats or deadlifts in them if I needed. The tongue often falls to the side throughout the day and needs to be readjusted. That may be more of a personal issue of not knowing how to lace them to keep the tongue up.I love the white ... MoreI have purchased and worn many pairs of Converse. Classic and Cute but A Tad Too Big

I love the color of the shoe and the shiny toe gives it a nice touch! It is a little too wide for my feet but pulling the laces tighter does help. It is also a little too big so I may benefit from a smaller size but would want to try it on first. This shoe would be great for those who have wider feet and there is more room. The fabric is thick and similar to the fabric of my other Chuck Taylor shoes. The sole is a little thicker but not too thick. This will be a good everyday shoe to style with jeans or short or even a dress for women when going for a casual look. It does look a little long on my foot which I don’t like. The toe and sole is more of an off white color which looks good with the black. Classic shoe

The chuck wide shoe is a classic shoe that can worn with any outfit. The shoes very comfortably and has plenty of room in the wide fit. It takes a little bit to break the shoes in but I always enjoy the way they look. The black shoe with white laces makes every outfit a little more fun to wear. The design of the shoe is excellent. The black shoe with white laces and white stitching is a staple in every closet. The fabric is the traditional thin converse design. The shoe overall is more of a classic feel than a supportive athletic shoe. The bottom of the shoe is dark brown with a fun print design. There is a small label on the back of the heel with the converse brand name. Cute black high tops (converse)

The black chuck 70 wide I can say definitely fits better. I feel because it’s a wider shoe I can actually wear socks and still be comfortable rather than having to make sure the shoes aren’t thick. The design is basic which you can dress up or dress down. I can simple wear these with a cute summer body con dress or some cute skinny jeans. The fabric seems thick so I know they would last me some time which is a plus. Sneakers are so costly so when it comes to how the show is made and how durable it is that’s a plus for me. These will work not only for adults but kids too! What I liked most is the fact that although the sneaker was basic it had a shine/gloss too on the toe part which I feel make it glam it up a bit. I am not too sure of any flaws or what I would like ... MoreThe black chuck 70 wide I can say definitely fits better. I think I need to wear it to somewhere that yourll do alot of walking like a fair or Disney to see the comfort level within a long period of time. As far as right now wearing it during the day it seems to be fine.

Fresh, clean, comfortable, casual

I will start by saying I have always been a fan of the timeless Chuck Taylor. However, I never wore a pair because I always equated them with the old school high-top (sweet, timeless shoe, but I never liked the feel on my ankles). The 70's give me everything I like about the look of the timeless shoe AND feel free at the ankle. Win win. I have the white pair with subtle blue and red lines. They have become a go-to shoe for a fresh, clean and casual look. They are super convenient to throw on with shorts or jeans to run out for errands and comfortable enough for a trip to the park or a walk around the neighborhood with the kiddos. The white was a little risky, especially with young kids, but so far the canvas has stayed clean. Also, I think a little wear on the guys will just add to their character.I typically don't wear a wide, which my pair is, but the width in this shoe is perfect. I think had I gone with a regular fit they might be a bit too narrow for my comfort.

Happy with the bit of extra room

I typically do not go with a wider width shoe as my feet tend to slip around too much in them, however, I have never felt comfortable in a regular width Chuck style because of the more pointed toe. I had a bit of wiggle room in the Chuck 70 wide, but it was extra space that felt good! I typically find shoes with a rounder toe box most comfortable. These were far, far better than the regular width for me, but did bother the joints in my big toes at the end of the day. I am going to keep wearing them for shorter periods in hopes they just need more wear to stretch out a little. The sole of the shoe and the canvas fabric was flexible right away and not stiff at all. I liked that the soles could bend with my foot. They classic style matches so many outfits and I want to keep trying them!

My New Favorite Chucks

I’ve been wearing Size 7 All Stars for decades and these Chuck 70’s fit me perfectly in a size 7 for anyone wondering if there is a fit difference between them. I have wide feet, double E (EE) in boots and these fit me well like the All stars did, not too narrow. The Chuck 70’s are much better comfort wise than the Allstars in my opinion with the comfort soles (Which Are Replaceable!) and the overall sturdier build of the shoe, you can actually feel the difference in the thicker canvas and the rubber soles. I really like the narrower look that the high sidewall and the set back toe cap outline give the shoe. The rubber has a very glossy finish that’s not as distracting as I thought it might be. I purchased the Universe Teal and Tawny Owl versions and both are nice ... MoreI’ve been wearing Size 7 All Stars for decades and these Chuck 70’s fit me perfectly in a size 7 for anyone wondering if there is a fit difference between them. If these Chuck 70’s hold up at least as well as regular Allstars I’ll probably never buy another pair of regular Allstars again.

These are the must have for back to school

When I told my son I was going to get him a new pair of sneakers as I do every year for school I was pleasantly surprised when he asked for the same sneakers his dad has and has worn his whole life. He wanted matching white high top chucks. I was hesitant on the white, because my son is 12 and as a typical kid he can get messy. But I went for it anyways. In the past we have had difficulty with certain shoes due to his wider feet, not abnormally wide just wide enough to not be comfortable in some shoes. So I ordered the Chucks wide, they are amazing! They fit his foot so well without looking awkward and you can barely tell the difference. They look perfect, fit him amazing and he loves them. I did order his usual size because in our experience chucks tend to be a little bigger, so he has room to grow!
