I was using IT Bye Bye Foundation for several years. Mainly because it was a good color match and it has SPF 50. The good SPF that dermatologists recommend here in Skin Cancer city, AZ (Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide). Problem is that it's heavy and accentuates my lines. In searching for something new, I came across Clinique's Tinted Moisturizer. While I wish it had a higher SPF, I was happy to find that Very Light was a great match. Problem is that it pills so much! I expected more from Clinique. So the search continues. I hope that this product can be tweaked so that it can be applied smoothly with no clumps. More SPF would be a plus too!

I am a make up and product addict, lately I’ve been making the most of my natural skin and wanting a more lightweight look. I was browsing for a hydrating / day cream when I came across this product and loved the idea of something to hydrate and give me slight coverage on my skin. I was so excited to try this. Clinique is a high end brand so I guessed I couldn’t really go wrong with this product. I was so wrong … it’s so heavy on the skin, it clings to certain areas leaving a heavy make up cakey look but without the coverage to even justify it ! It feels so sticky ALL day. My go to is the It cosmetics one, but this has more product so I wanted to try it. It’s not as thick as the CC cream but it’s light and dewy, which I love. The Dr. Jart color correcting cream is too thick for me and feels heavy. This doesn’t cover all of my imperfections, but that’s also not what it’s meant for. If I want more coverage, I just spot correct with a concealer. Don’t mix oil based products with this stuff or it’ll pill, and be sure to go over it with a damp sponge to smooth streaks. It smells like sunscreen, but I’d prefer that over neutralizing additives. I really like this tinted moisturiser. I have fair skin and the universal light shade was perfect for me. As I don't really have spots or imperfections this gives me a nice glow and light coverage which is just what I like. I don't like wearing foundation because you can see it on the skin as well as creases. The consistency is a bit sticky though so I mix it with a little bit of day moisturiser which makes it better. I have also noticed that my T-zone is less shiny after a few hours comparing to other tinted moisturisers. I will buy this product again.
I only wear skin tints. Tried others, BB creams and medium coverage. Some are ok. But overall more than what I like on my skin. I like a natural look and feel. The only reason I purchased this because was on sale. I apply minimal with fingers. It’s ok. Not my favorite. I feel it’s heavier than my favorite skin tints. Saie is my go to. This sheer tint is buildable. But I would not build it. It looks awful and caked on. Sits on top of skin and heavy feeling. I certainly don’t build it. Applying just a little, it’s ok. More coverage than a tint for sure. It’s dewy like my skin tints. I do need to apply setting powder mid day. My Tzone gets shiny. Always does with tinted moisturizers. I don’t love this. I prefer just a tint. This is more coverage than I’m accustomed to.
I've been loving this product, the coverage is just enough to even out my skin tone, and the consistency is so smooth and creamy. It feels beautiful on the skin when applying and really helps disguise the pores on my cheeks, nose, and forehead. It is a thick product but has never felt/looked heavy or greasy on my skin, which tends to be oily. The spf 25 makes it perfect for reapplication over my daily sunscreen on cloudy days when I'm mostly indoors, and on sunny days when I need to reapply my higher spf product throughout the day it goes over top this without issue. It would be a 5 star product if not for the shade range. So I decided to give this tinted hydrator a second chance. Instead of applying on my clean skin..I applied Clinique moisture surge gel moisturizer followed by super goop watery gel spf….WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Not only it applied so butter smooth..but it blended seamlessly and makes my skin looks so even and still lightweight. I like the coverage and shade match. I love a multipurpose product that saves me time, so I picked up this tinted moisturizer when I saw that the shade is a nice match for me. I use my fingertips to put this on my face, I like how it looks when I first put it on. But as the day goes on it does develop a white cast over my skin, like a regular sunscreen would. It doesn't go on super smooth, but it is very moisturizing and my skin looks happy. I've gotten compliments on my skin while wearing this, it give good coverage on my flaws without looking like I'm wearing makeup, only a nice glow (no glitter in product). The gift with purchase was a nice surprise.

I had brought a sample of a BB cream with me, as a colour match, and the Clinique Representative, very kindly spent some time with me to obtain the right skin tone. She then applied the make-up, and I was impressed with the coverage, which was better than a standard tinted moisturiser/BB/CC cream. I also purchased the setting powder. The foundation was easy to apply, with my brush, and went on without streaks or patches. I was delighted with the results, and although I had decided to use it only at weekends, I've put it on for work this morning, and it looks great. I usually wear a full coverage foundation, however I've been on the hunt for a perfect everyday lightweight foundation/skin tint with enough coverage for my acne scars, and I found it!! (I work at Ulta, so I spend a lot of time trying out foundations with customers) This can be tricky to apply but i've found the trick is to use your fingers to warm and blend and then pat it out gently, this is a beautiful lightweight-medium coverage with natural finish by itself or can be worn under powder to mattify/add more coverage or touch up the spf!! :) Will be wearing this all summer 2023!!
