Citi Card off | Google Pixel Tablet 11 Inch 2K 8GB/256GB Tablet - Hazel (JP Spec)

I'll preface this by saying, I have largely adopted into the Google ecosystem, and thus I get a lot of value by having this smoothly interact with my other devices in my home. Most significantly, my Pixel phone. But that smooth integration meant setup took less than 5 mins. I was using the device almost immediately, and that was a pleasantly unique experience. When I set up my wife's iPad Mini, it took significantly longer, as we had to create an apple id (or recover her old id I think), and set up the accounts from scratch. The Pixel table has a satisfying screen, with solid resolution, and an excellent 16:10 aspect ratio. The color is vibrant, and the brightness is more than adequate for any environment. This is by far the most responsive interface experience of ... MoreI'll preface this by saying, I have largely adopted into the Google ecosystem, and thus I get a lot of value by having this smoothly interact with my other devices in my home. The color is vibrant, and the brightness is more than adequate for any environment. This is by far the most responsive interface experience of any phone or table I've used. Swiping between screens is quick and feel buttery smooth, apps open quickly. It's a very enjoyable table to work on. I haven't loaded it up with data, so I can't speak to what happens after the storage starts to fill up, but as a new device, the user experience is phenomenal. The draw backs to this table are the okay speaker/charging station. As a charging station it is great. but as a speaker, it is just okay. I can't tell any difference between the audio quality on this dock, or my less expensive Nest Hub. I wish they would have improved on that audio quality, because I could see myself really wanting to use the speaker for music more often if it was better. The screen is so good, but it's so reflective. It's like a mirror and that's disappointing in bright environments. I suggest getting a matte screen protector, or one that cuts way back on the reflective nature of the screen. Finally, as a newer product, the options available for cases and accessories are super limited. All that said, this is by far my favorite table I've owned, and was so easy to set up and use, that I'd recommend it as a no brainer for anyone in the Android ecosystem. Finally an android tablet that look forward to using.

The Pixel tablet is unique as it has a dock. When it is on the dock it works like a smart hub and when it is detached it becomes a tablet. It charges when it is on the dock. Tablet also has an usb c charging port. Without the tablet docked in it, the dock doesn't have any functionality of its own. The magnets used to attach the tablet to the dock are strong and attach very easily. The tablet is very responsive and runs Android 13 (Tiramisu). It comes with a fingerprint reader and you can configure a security pin to unlock it. The Google Home detected the other Google OS devices on the network like sound bar and the TV. I added other *Works with Google* devices like security camera and doorbell but the tablet could not stream their videos so that was a bummer. When in hub mode and we switch off the lights screen automatically goes into the low-power mode with just a clock display. The size and weight of the tablet is very optimal to carry around and its build is also sturdy. The 8MP front and rear cameras take not that great pictures and are decent for video chat. The battery life lasts for approximately 10 hours. The speaker in the tablet is a bit tiny but when on the dock it enhances the audio by adding bass and the sound is much better. The display has decent resolution and with 500 nits brightness you can read text in sunlight but videos will be washed out. Overall a decent tablet but it would have been good if the dock was an optional add-on to make it competitively priced with other android tablets.

So essentially this is a large format smartphone that docks like a hub.The camera quality is OK, and the sound from the tablet itself is also just OK. When docked, the sound immediately begins coming out of the dock (alone) and you get more sound. The highs are a bit loss, but overall the sound quality isn't bad.The dock is magnetic and does a great job at holding the tablet, but aligning is sometimes a bit tricky. The tablet itself has the usual features, Wifi, Bluetooth, Location, fingerprint reader, among a few other things. When docked it can randomly scroll through news, time, weather, and photos among other things. The tablet pushes split screen app use which does make for easier use. You can use apps in full screens, but because some apps aren't optimized, you often get a lot of black/unused space. One thing I love is how easy it is to swap from one user profile to another. It was surprisingly quick and easy and never stumbled at all.The tablet has a nice battery life, but I noticed in leaving the tablet sitting untouched overnight, resulted in a 10% battery loss.As a dock it's OK, as a tablet, it's still just OK. I personally sat mine on my desk next to my computer. This allows me to control smart home devices when sitting here or pick it up and read the news or ebook. To be clear, the tablet isn't bad, it just leaves a few things to be desired or rather bettered.
