I've always used BMW Wheel Cleaner Gel which cost about $9.75 at the dealer and works incredibly well to dissolve all brake dust, iron particles and grease. I ran out on a Sunday and decided to try this Chemical Guys wheel cleaner and was very disappointed. Washed away brake dust as any car wash would but did nothing for the caked on dust and iron contaminates. I'll be returning and definitely do not recommend.

It is an ok wheel cleaner but I wouldn’t say it was exceptional. The trigger spray broke on the second use and leaked out of the bottom and you can’t get the top off so had to cut the bottle open to get the cleaner out! Probably won’t buy again.

Telling you right now, this product does exactly what it says, and I'm delighted to report that. Not only is it a nice citrus smelling wheel cleaner, but this formula comes in a gel form that sticks on whatever you spray it. This makes it extremely effective in breaking down brake dust and road grit. I still ended up using a brush to agitate it after letting it dwell on the wheel for about 30 seconds, but no complaints. I spent way less time scrubbing this stuff versus other wheel cleaners I use. Full disclosure, I have a 2017 JKU with stock aluminium rims, which attract brake dust like it's their job. That being said, I'm ecstatic when I find a good cleaning solution for the wheels.Seriously, this is the wheel cleaner you're looking for. No brainer.Just get it.

Worked perfectly on Peugeot 208 alloy wheels that were heavily coated in break dust (euro pads are so bad at that!). Wet down, applied, waited a few mins, agitated with a brush, washed off with hose to a gleaming finish. Simple.

Just those two vehicles alone used half the bottle, which puts you at 2.50usd per wash for four wheels. Kinda pricey when it really doesn't stand out. It cleans just as well as other high quality wheel cleaners in my lineup which are more affordable in terms of cost per use. One special feature of this product is the cling effect on the wheels. It doesn’t work well with my wheels they are covered in brake dust and other things but it takes the dirt and other things off wheels
Apply when the wheel is dry. Most other cleaners need to be applied after a rinse then quickly removed. Not Chemical guys. Apply on dry wheels and let it sit a few minutes. You still need to scrub, but the end result is better than others I have tried.
Worked wonders on filthy mags that hadn't been washed or detailed for a LONG time. It is super thick and sticky for a great cling. A little brushwork and they came up great. NO hideous smell like another brand which works, but absolutely reeks. Recommended.
